Building upon the massive success of the XUV700, the renamed and facelifted XUV 7XO has undergone a comprehensive upgrade in terms of its styling, interior and features. In terms of the design, it gets a new front fascia with an updated grille, dual-pod LED projector headlamps, a larger lower air dam and a more prominent faux silver skid plate.

Move on to the side profile, and you get to see that it still retains the flush-fit door handles, muscular haunches and the blacked-out C-pillar which give it a butch stance, albeit now with blacked-out ORVMs, gloss black cladding and new 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Towards the rear, you also get to see reworked taillamps with ‘honeycomb-pattern’ detailing, and a new bumper with gloss black inserts.

Inside, the XUV 7XO gets an all-new dashboard layout and a new steering wheel, along with a beige-tan theme for the upholstery. In terms of features, it is equipped with a panoramic sunroof, powered front seats, multi-colour ambient lighting, two wireless chargers and front and rear ventilated seats. Safety-wise, it gets Level 2 ADAS with 5 radars, 7 airbags, electronic stability control, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, hill hold assist, hill descent control, 540-degree camera and front and rear parking sensors.

Under the hood, the XUV 7XO gets powered by 2-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine options, which come paired to 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options. Notably, the diesel is also available with an optional all-wheel drive setup as well. Here are the detailed specifications:

Mahindra offers the XUV 7XO in 6 variants, which are priced in the range of Rs 13.66 lakh to Rs 24.11 lakh, details of which you can find here.
In terms of rivals, it goes up against other midsize SUVs such as the Tata Harrier and Safari, the MG Hector and Hector Plus, the Jeep Compass and the Hyundai Alcazar.

With all these updates, the XUV 7XO has become even more compelling, and if past Mahindra launches are anything to go by, expect long waiting periods! Given this, we suggest interested buyers book their XUV 7XO at the earliest to avoid inconvenience.
