Triumph visitor facility

If you are a major fan of British motorcycles and want a peek at how the world of motorcycle manufacturing works, you're in luck. Starting November 1, 2017, Triumph Motorcycles will open its gates for visitors at their headquarters and factory outlet in Hinckley, England.
Triumph will offer an exclusive guided tour of the factory providing more access to Triumph’s engineering and manufacturing facilities than ever before. Not only do you get to witness the designing and production process of their current generation of motorcycles, it is also a gateway to witness some of the most prominent Triumph bikes that were once part of popular culture. This includes Steve McQueen's original bike from the movie The Great Escape. This iconic motorcycle has been out of the public eye ever since it was restored after filming for the movie was  completed in 1962.

Among other rare and original models from the brand’s past, visitors will also get to see the very first Triumph No.1 from 1902, the Speed Triple that was ridden by Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible 2, the latest race engine prototype as Triumph will be supplying engines in Moto2 and Johnny Allen’s Triumph-powered streamliner that smashed the land speed record at the Bonneville salt flat in 1956
To make the experience wholesome, visitors can also rest their feet at the Triumph 1902 Café or the Triumph Shop to get their hands on branded merchandise, clothing, and limited-edition souvenirs and memorabilia.

While admission to the Visitor Centre is free of charge, the 90-minute factory tour can be booked online in advance for £15 (approximately Rs 1,300) per person. While there’s still close to a month for the Visitor Centre to open its gates to the public, you can pre-order tickets here.
The opening of the Visitor Centre comes close on the heels of Triumph announcing their non-equity partnership with Bajaj to develop a range of mid-capacity motorcycles. The British two-wheeler manufacturer has also signed a deal with Dorna to become the supply engines for the Moto2 Championship from 2019.
Meanwhile, Triumph posted their best ever sales figures of 63,000 units sold between June 2016 and June 2017 in the UK and global markets.
