We spoke about Indian Motorcycles introducing its 2022 lineup in India a couple of months ago, which includes the Dark Horse, Bobber Dark Horse, and Super Chief Limited. Well, the American brand has now teased the 2022 Chief model range for India on its social media channels, implying that it will be here very soon, perhaps even by August 2021!

You can reserve one for yourself for a token amount of Rs 3 lakh. The updates are mostly cosmetic with a couple of feature additions. You can read about it in detail here. All three models are powered by a larger 1890cc big-bore air-cooled V-twin that makes 162Nm at revs as low as 3200rpm. The motor gets a six-speed transmission, cruise control, three ride modes: sport, standard and tour as well as dual-channel ABS as standard. The hardware is pretty much the same as the earlier model.

The manufacturer had already announced the starting price for its Chief lineup in India would begin at Rs 20,75,922 (ex-showroom India). Additionally, deliveries are expected to begin soon across Delhi, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai and Cochin. Once here, it will compete against BMW R 18, which falls in the same price bracket and the Triumph Rocket 3 which could be an alternative.
