Jaguar F-Pace SVR Goes On Sale In India At Rs 1.51 Crore

Jaguar India has launched and started deliveries of the F-Pace SVR. The performance SUV is priced from Rs 1.51 crore (ex-showroom). Bookings have been underway since June this year.

To ensure the F-Pace SVR has the performance chops to match its rivals, the SUV gets a 5-litre supercharged V8 belting out 550PS and 700Nm (20Nm more than before). That grunt is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic. Consequently, it is big on performance, going from 0-100kmph in four seconds! And if you manage to find a long enough stretch of road, you can push it till 286kmph.

To cope with that power, Jaguar has made some reinforcements underneath the skin. The F-Pace SVR now sits on stiffer springs with adaptive dampers that let you adjust the stiffness. Also, the brakes get a power booster for a sharper bite with less pedal travel. And then there’s the quicker, more agile steering rack.

Now to the design. The F-Pace SVR is based on the facelifted model recently launched in India. Therefore, it gets the same restyled headlamps and tail lamps as the standard F-Pace. Changes in the SVR include the blacked-out grille, aggressively styled bumpers, and the reduced ride height.

Inside, the larger 11.4-inch Pivi Pro infotainment system takes up maximum space on the updated centre console. You also get new touch-based climate controls and a stubby gear selector replacing Jaguar’s traditional rotary knob. Other highlights include the sleek SVR-branded steering wheel and sports front seats.

The Jaguar F-Pace SVR locks horns with other behemoths like the Audi RSQ8, Porsche Cayenne, and the BMW X5M.
