Citroen India has launched the updated C3 Turbo hatchback, which gets more safety features and a new top-end Shine trim. The latter has been introduced with the naturally aspirated engine option before and makes its way to the turbo-petrol engine now. Take a look at the variant-wise prices below:

Starting with the convenience features, the new top-spec C3 Turbo Shine gets electrically adjustable ORVMs, front fog lamps, skid plates on the rear bumper, front fog lamps, 15-inch alloy rims, a rear parking camera, a rear defogger and a rear wash and wiper. These join the existing features which include a manual AC and 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Citroen also offers it in 10 colours along with 56 customisation options to pick from.

But the bigger talking point is the addition of new safety features in the C3 Turbo that now gets electronic stability control, hill-hold and tyre pressure monitoring system. FYI, these new additions are exclusive to the turbo-petrol variants only. The C3’s earlier safety suite included the basics i.e. dual airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors.

The C3 Turbo is powered by the same 110PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine which has been updated to meet E20 fuel compliance. It also gets idle start stop technology, which technically improves fuel economy, which is rated at 19.3kmpl. No automatic transmission on offer yet, but it continues to get a 6-speed manual transmission.

With these additions, the C3 Turbo now makes for a more rounded package. It continues to rival models such as the Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Maruti Swift and the upcoming Hyundai Exter.
