Citroen India has introduced a new top-spec Shine variant for its entry-level hatchback, the C3. This new range-topping trim comes packing with all the essential features the hatchback has been missing right from day one in India. For now, the carmaker has revealed this particular variant’s pricing with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine, but we expect the turbocharged motor and even the electric C3, known as eC3, to get this trim real soon.
Take a look at the C3 Shine’s pricing:
|
Feel - Rs 7.08 lakh |
Feel Vibe Pack - Rs 7.23 lakh |
Feel Dual Tone - Rs 7.23 lakh |
Feel Dual Tone Vibe Pack - Rs 7.38 lakh |
|
Shine - Rs 7.6 lakh |
Shine Vibe Pack - Rs 7.72 lakh |
Shine Dual Tone - Rs 7.75 lakh |
Shine Dual Tone Vibe Pack - Rs 7.87 lakh |

As you can see from the above table, the C3 Shine is up to Rs 52,000 more expensive than the mid-spec Feel trim. For the extra dough, it gets convenience feature additions such as a rear wash and wiper with defogger, rear skid plates, 15-inch alloy wheels, a parking camera, day/night ORVM, and front fog lamps. It also comes with connected car tech as well. The rest of the features that are offered with the C3 will be carried forward as is.

Our sources have also suggested that the Shine trim will soon be introduced with the turbo-petrol engine, which will get the following additional safety features:
Electronic Stability Control
Hill Hold Assist
Tyre Pressure Monitoring System

For now, the C3 Shine gets the 82PS 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 110PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, paired with a 6-speed stick shifter, will be introduced later in the top-end variant.

While the Citroen C3 is still lacking in niceties, these updates do make it a better all-rounder especially when compared with the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Maruti Swift and Tata Punch.
