Hero MotoCorp has launched the much awaited Xoom 125 scooter in India. The scooter is available in 2 variants: VX and ZX. Prices for the VX variant are Rs 86,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi). 

Design

The Hero Xoom 125 looks similar to the concept model shown at the 2023 EICMA motorshow. It features a very sharp and aggressive design which is accentuated by the sporty LED headlight, angular side panels, and slim dual-LED tail lights at the back. The overall look is similar to the Xoom 110. The base VX variant comes in two colour schemes: Metallic Turbo Blue and Matte Storm Grey. The top ZX variant gets two additional colours: Matte Neon Lime and Inferno Red.

Engine and Underpinnings

The Hero Xoom 125 is powered by a 124.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which makes 9.8PS and 10.4Nm, and is paired to a CVT. The scooter gets a telescopic fork and monoshock. Braking is handled by a petal disc brake at the front on the ZX variant while the VX variant gets a drum. At the rear, both variants get drum brakes. The scooter has a fuel tank capacity of 5-litres and gets 14-inch alloy wheels at both ends.

The Hero Xoom 125 gets an LCD instrument cluster which we have previously seen on the Xoom 110. The LCD console supports Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS alerts. Other features include, sequential turn indicators, illuminated start button, underseat storage light and a USB charging port.

The Hero Xoom 125 goes against the likes of TVS NTorq 125, Aprilia SR125 and the Suzuki Avenis.
