BSA Scrambler India Launch

BSA has finally launched the Scrambler 650 in India at Rs 3,24,950 (ex-showroom). It’s a tougher, more playful spin on the BSA Gold Star 650. And, this isn’t just a styling exercise, it's a proper rework aimed at riders who don’t stop where the road ends.

Proper Scrambler Vibes

Gone is the Gold Star’s chrome-heavy look, replaced by a rugged stance with a braced handlebar, headlight grille, raised fenders, metal bash plate, an upswept exhaust, and unmistakable ‘65’ race plate on the sides. The tighter tail and sportier paint schemes seal the deal – this one means business.

Same Engine, Better Purpose

The BSA Scrambler 650 keeps the 652cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder motor pushing 45.6PS and 55Nm, paired to a 5-speed gearbox.

For The Rough Stuff

This BSA bike gets 19/17-inch spoke wheels wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres, a telescopic fork with gaiters, and twin shocks promise better bump absorption. The taller 820mm seat and 187mm ground clearance underline its off-road intent. However, it weighs 208kg (kerb).

A single-pod, off-set LCD console with Bluetooth connectivity replaces the analogue setup, joined by essentials like dual-channel ABS and a USB charger.

The Scrambler 650 sits close to the Gold Star but delivers a completely different experience. It takes direct aim at the Royal Enfield Bear 650, the only other 650cc scrambler. Where the RE offers a raw twin-cylinder aggressive experience, the BSA counters with a big thumping single character and brute force.
