Toyota has launched the Innova Hycross MPV as the Innova Zenix in the Malaysian market starting from RM 165,000 (Rs 28.96 lakh). Like the model sold here, the Hycross sold in Malaysia gets a choice of naturally aspirated petrol and strong-hybrid powertrains. However, while the petrol model here is limited to the lower-end variants, in Malaysia the carmaker offers it in one single fully loaded trim for both variants.
Take a look at the detailed variant-wise prices:
|
Variants |
Price |
|
Petrol |
RM 165,000 (Rs 28.96 lakh) |
|
Hybrid |
Rs 202,000 (Rs 35.45 lakh) |

The Innova Zenix looks very similar to the model sold here. Even its interior layout is exactly the same as the Hycross save for the all-black colour scheme. The petrol model sold there is an 8-seater with bench seats while the hybrid is a 7-seater with captain seats for middle row. As we mentioned above, the petrol-powered Zenix gets the same features list as the hybrid variant in Malaysia. So you get bits such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof (hybrid only), digital driver’s display, powered driver’s seat and a powered tailgate.
On the safety front, it gets six airbags, electronic stability control, parking sensors, a 360-degree camera and ADAS features.

No changes have been made underneath the hood. The Innova Zenix gets the choice of either a 174PS 2-litre petrol or a 186PS 2-litre strong-hybrid powertrains, paired with a CVT and e-CVT, respectively.

In India, the Innova Hycross’s prices range from Rs 18.55 lakh to Rs 29.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Also, Maruti Suzuki will be launching the Invicto on July 05, which is nothing but a rebadged version of the Innova Hycross. Both these models are premium alternatives to the Kia Carens, Mahindra Marazzo and Toyota Innova Crysta.
