Tata confirms four new SUV launches by 2024.
The facelifted Tata Nexon will arrive around the upcoming festive season.
The facelifted Harrier will follow the Nexon in 2023 itself.
The Punch EV and Curvv EV will be launched in 2024.
Having just launched the Punch CNG, it seems like Tata Motors is still raring to go, as the carmaker has revealed plans to launch a total of four new SUVs by 2024, which also includes a heavy revision of its hottest selling subcompact SUV, along with a few new electric launches.
This news was divulged by N Chandrasekaran (chairman, Tata Motors) at the carmaker’s Annual General Meeting (AGM). “We will launch the upgraded version of Nexon anytime soon, he said, adding, “Then we will launch the Harrier in the later part of this year, then Punch EV, and then the new product (Curvv EV) sometime towards the first quarter of next year.
The heavily revised Tata Nexon has been confirmed for launch in September 2023, which will then be followed by the facelifted Harrier in the same year. Now, it is yet to be confirmed whether we’ll get the ICE-powered facelifted Nexon or its electric avatar first, but we reckon both should be launched this year itself, considering the popularity of the model.
The facelifted Harrier will borrow cues from the Harrier EV which was showcased back at the Auto Expo 2023, and even the latest spy shots of the SUV’s bigger sibling, the facelifted Safari, hint at the same. Here, we suspect the ICE version to be introduced first, followed by the electric powertrain for both models.
As for the remaining two SUVs, it is the Punch EV that had earlier been confirmed for launch sometime in 2023 by the Indian marque. Along with the electric micro-SUV, the Curvv EV is also confirmed for release in 2024. The exact timeline will be ascertained soon.
