The special edition brings a new all-black paint scheme to the CNG-powered inside out. It is available in three variants, namely the Creative Plus, Creative Plus PS, and Fearless Plus PS. Being available in higher-spec variants, it offers numerous modern-day features like the petrol, diesel, or even the all-electric Nexon counterparts. The prices of the new Nexon CNG Dark Edition range between Rs 12.70 lakh and Rs 14.50 lakh. On the other hand, the standard Nexon is priced from Rs 8 lakh and goes up to Rs 15.60 lakh (ex-showroom). While the Creative Plus S offers a single-pane sunroof, the Creative Plus PS and Fearless Plus PS get a panoramic sunroof.
The new Nexon CNG Dark Edition features an all-black colour scheme throughout with a new Atlas Black shade. The alloy wheels also get a black finish. As a part of the new special edition, the CNG-powered SUV comes with a “#Dark” lettering badge on either side of the front fenders. On the other hand, it retains the same overall design of the standard Nexon, featuring vertically stacked LED headlights, sleek daytime driving lights that double up as turn indicators, a set of 16-inch alloy wheels, and taillights with a light bar running across its width.

The interior of the Nexon CNG Dark Edition retains its layout from the regular model but gets an all-black theme for the dashboard, centre console, and seats. Speaking of which, Tata has given it Benecke-Kaliko leatherette seat covers.
Key features of the Nexon CNG Dark are LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlights, a cooled glovebox, a 10.25-inch all-digital instrument cluster, fog lights with cornering function, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a wireless phone charging, up to 8 speakers, USB Type-A and Type-C ports, an auto-dimming IRVM, an air purifier, and front seat ventilation.

The safety kit includes a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, 6 airbags, an electronic stability programme (ESP), and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). Similar to the standard Nexon CNG, the Dark edition is also equipped with a twin-cylinder setup, offering a boot space of 321 litres.
Powering the Nexon CNG Dark is a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine producing 100 PS and 170 Nm of torque in the CNG mode. On the flip side, the regular Nexon generates 120 PS and 170 Nm. It comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Currently, the Tata Nexon CNG Dark takes on the Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG alongside the closest rivals, such as the Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG and Toyota Taisor CNG.
The new Tata Nexon CNG Dark Edition offers a new dark scheme with a wide variety of features, making it an appealing option for buyers looking for a feature-rich and distinct sub-compact SUV. Not to mention the benefits of CNG. Which variant would you pick of the Nexon CNG Dark? Let us know.
