Hyundai has launched a new S+ variant for the Venue subcompact SUV at Rs 9.35 lakh.
Sunroof now becomes more accessible with the introduction of this new variant.

Hyundai has introduced a new “S+” variant for its subcompact SUV, Venue. The new variant is packaged between the S and S(O) variant in the line-up and has been launched at a price of Rs 9.35 lakh (ex-showroom). Let's take a closer look at this newly introduced variant and all that it packs in.

Based on the S variant, the newly launched S+ variant commands Rs 25,000 over the S variant and sits below the S(O) variant. With this new variant launched, the highly desired sunroof option now becomes more accessible by Rs 65,000, as it was earlier available from the S(O)+ variant.
The Hyundai Venue’s S + variant marks the entry level variant to get a sunroof option. Apart from this, it gets feature niceties like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a TFT semi-digital driver’s instrument cluster, roof rails on the exterior and rear AC vents.
For safety, it packs in 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, as standard along with hill start assist, automatic headlamps, seatbelt reminder for all occupants, ISOFIX child seat mounts and even TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system).
The newly introduced S+ variant gets powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The Hyundai Venue is priced from Rs 7.94 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 13.43 lakh (ex-showroom). The new S+ variant sits somewhere in the middle at Rs 9.35 lakh (ex-showroom). It competes with other subcompact SUVs in the segment like the Nissan Magnite, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon and the Mahindra XUV 3XO.
