Mahindra unveiled the BE 6 Formula E Edition last month, the World’s first Formula E-themed electric SUV, which brings global racing identity into a road-going model. The prices of the special edition start at Rs 23.69 lakh for the FE2 and Rs 24.49 lakh (both prices ex-showroom) for the FE3, and its bookings will open on January 14, 2026, with a token amount of Rs 21,000.
Customer deliveries begin on February 14, 2026. To commemorate the launch, Mahindra is offering the first 999 customers a motorsport-themed welcome package, with three early buyers winning an all-expenses-paid trip to the 2026 London E-Prix.
Distinguishing the BE 6 Formula E Edition is a motorsport-inspired exterior treatment. Mahindra has updated the bumper profile, fitted round projector headlamps with gloss-black bezels, and finished key elements in its signature Firestorm Orange lifted straight from the brand's Formula E livery. Offered in four paint options: Everest White, Firestorm Orange, Tango Red, and Stealth Black; each colour is mated to race-inspired graphics, FIA branding, and a special "Mahindra Formula E" badge on the windshield.

Aerodynamic detailing runs right through onto the wheels, featuring dark-tinted 20-inch alloys and matching Firestorm Orange brake callipers. The rear spoiler is revised, the skid plates have a new texture, while Formula E decals stretch across the bonnet, roof, and fixed glass; the latter even wears the "12-stripe" signature that echoes the look of Mahindra's Formula E cars. The result is an SUV that looks substantially more aggressive and track-resembling than the regular BE 6.

Inside, the BE 6 FE Edition continues the motorsport theme with a black-and-orange cabin treatment. Firestorm Orange details delineate the dashboard, seatbelts, and stitching, with Formula E branding crossing the seats and dash. The start/stop button now adopts a flap of the race-car variety, while the wireless charging dock and speaker grilles utilise a pattern inspired by Formula E aerodynamics.

The SUV also gets a custom Formula E startup animation and an exterior sound signature, developed exclusively for this edition. Even the door pads employ translucent panels to highlight the special-edition lighting and trim inserts.

The electric drivetrain is the same, but Mahindra insists it has worked at making its calibration and responsiveness more pointed through its experience in Formula E. The SUV uses a 79 kWh battery and a 282 PS electric motor to produce a 0–100 kmph time of 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 202 kmph. In the real world, Mahindra claims the BE 6 FE Edition can do 500 km on a full charge, adequate to make both long-distance drives and daily commutes feasible in one go.

Fast charging performance is competitive, too: on a 180 kW DC charger, the BE 6 FE Edition will top its battery up from 20 to 80 per cent in 20 minutes. The hardware underneath comprises Mahindra’s iLink front suspension, a 5-link independent rear setup, brake-by-wire technology, and frequency-dependent damping to improve high-speed stability and handling.

The BE 6 FE Edition carries forward the comprehensive tech suite in the BE 6: a twin 12.3-inch display setup for instrumentation and infotainment driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor. The vehicle features wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as 5G connectivity, OTT apps, and Alexa commands, all part of the updated Mahindra Adrenox ecosystem. And further upping the ante inside is a 16-speaker Harman/Kardon system with Dolby Atmos.

Safety is a big focus here, as all FE Edition variants get six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, electronic stability control, a driver drowsiness alert system, TPMS, ISOFIX, and a rollover sensor. It also gets a 360-degree camera paired with a blind-spot monitor.

Mahindra followed this up with a whole slew of early-buyer privileges. The first 999 customers will receive a motorsport-themed collector's box, their names embossed on the team's 2026 London E-Prix Formula E race car, and an opportunity to participate in a driving experience with Indian F2 racer Kush Maini. Three of these will win an all-expenses-paid trip to the London e-Prix in 2026.

The Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition is much more than a cosmetic package, really; a meaningful correlation between Mahindra's international racing program and production EV lineup. Bold styling, bespoke interior, and strong performance figures give it an identity rarely seen in an Indian-made electric SUV. For the buyer looking at having an EV that feels genuinely different from mainstream models, the FE Edition makes a compelling case.
