Mahindra has launched the BE 6 Formula E Edition, claiming it to be the world's first Formula E-themed special edition SUV. Starting at Rs 23.69 lakh for the FE2 and Rs 24.49 lakh for the FE3 variant ex-showroom, this limited-run model commemorates Mahindra's rich motorsport heritage as well as its participation on the global Formula E grid.

Bookings open on January 14, 2026, while deliveries will start on February 14, 2026. Mahindra further sweetens the deal by offering exclusive benefits for the first 999 buyers. The Formula E Edition introduces a completely new front bumper design that gives the BE 6 a more aggressive and motorsport-forward identity. The most noticeable change is the use of circular projector headlamps, combined with eyebrow-style LED daytime running lights, framed within a gloss-black bezel with Firestorm Orange highlights.

These changes sharpen the road presence and visually separate this edition from the standard BE 6, thus making it instantly recognisable even from a distance.

Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Colours: Vibrance!

Mahindra leans heavily into its Formula E identity through a vibrant set of exterior colours and contrasts. The BE 6 Formula E Edition will be available in four shades: Firestorm Orange, Everest White, Tango Red, and Stealth Black. Complementing these are accent details like dark liquid-metal cladding and Firestorm Orange highlights on bumpers and trims.

You also get to see signature 12-stripe graphics across the bonnet and roof, plus Formula E badging and FIA branding, reinforce its motorsport lineage without feeling overdone.

Race-Inspired Details Across The Body

There's no dearth of visual flourishes here. The SUV runs racetrack-motivated 20-inch alloy wheels, Firestorm Orange-coloured brake callipers, sporty roof and boot spoilers, along with race-style graphics across doors, fenders and bonnet. Mahindra Formula E ceramic branding is visible on the windscreen, while a special “BE 6 | Formula E” badge finishes off the rear.

The seats and dashboard carry Formula E logos while the start/stop button gets a race-style flip cover similar to what you'd find in high-performance cars.

There is even a Formula E-inspired startup animation along with a simulated exterior engine sound to add emotional drama to the driving experience.

Mechanically, the Formula E Edition remains true to the standard BE 6. It uses the same 79 kWh battery pack, producing 286 PS, and claims a range of around 683 km. Mahindra also claims 0–100 kmph in 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 202 kmph, making it one of the quickest cars in its segment.

Charging capability is still very impressive, going from 20 to 80 per cent in around 20 minutes with a 180 kW DC fast charger.

The SUV is filled with top-of-the-line tech, such as the dual 12.3-inch displays, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 5G connectivity, and built-in Amazon Alexa. It also supports connected-car features such as cabin precooling, remote commands, and app-based vehicle monitoring.
