Mahindra launched the BE6 Batman Edition in August in a first-of-its-kind collaboration with DC Comics and Warner Bros. While initially, the carmaker had only earmarked 300 units of the BE6 for this limited edition, the hype that soon followed pressed Mahindra to take the number up to 999 units.
Now after close to a month-and-a-half after launch, Mahindra has delivered the first batch of 16 cars to customers in a delivery event in Mumbai. At the event, 16 lucky customers got to take home their prized possession along with a customised batman-themed hamper from Warner Bros. to celebrate their new BE6 Batman Edition. Here is what the BE6 Batman Edition is like:
Mahindra has made certain stylistic enhancements to give the BE6 Batman Edition a bespoke exterior look. As you can see, the Batman Edition comes finished in an exclusive satin black paint finish that give it a menacing stance. The car also features special Batman themed decals in the front doors along with larger 20-inch alloy wheels. Keen eyed viewers will also notice that the suspension coils and brake calipers are finished in the gold hue to go with the theme. You also get special contrasting gold Batman logos on the front fender and bootlid.

Besides this, the BE6 Batman Edition retains the same snazzy exterior styling of the regular BE6. This means it gets C-shaped DRLs at the front and the rear and a futuristic, coupe-like roofline with a large rear spoiler mounted on top of the rear windshield. The bumpers and side claddings on the BE6 also come with a gloss black finish for a more premium look.
The black-and-gold theme continues inside the BE6 Batman Edition to make it more special. The dashboard gets gold accents and trims while the upholstery gets Batman logos. In a cheeky move, Mahindra has replaced the ‘Boost’ symbol with a Batman logo to give you more chuckles when putting your foot down. Besides this, the panoramic roof gets a Batman pattern that uplifts the ambience inside.
The dual-screen setup now also shows Batman logos while starting up. As for the rest of the interior, it stays similar to the regular BE6 with a driver-focused design and a squared-off steering wheel

Equipment-wise, the Batman Edition gets a few Batman-specific touches. The fake exhaust sounds can now be customized to play a stealthy ‘Batman’ soundtrack and even the puddle lamps show the Batman logo when doors are opened. Otherwise, the feature list remains identical to the regular BE6 which includes dual 12.3-inch screens for the touchscreen infotainment and digital instrument cluster, heads-up display, 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, dual-zone climate control, panoramic glass roof, ventilated and powered front seats, as well as dual wireless phone chargers and even a selfie camera!

Safety with the BE6 Batman Edition gets 7 airbags, Level 2 ADAS suite, all-wheel disc brakes, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, auto park assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, and a 360-degree camera. Also note that the BE6 has scored a full 5-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash test.
The BE6 Batman Edition is based on the top-spec Pack Three variant. This means it gets a 79kWh battery pack giving it 682km of claimed range. This is paired to an electric motor producing 286 PS. It is worth noting that the regular BE6 in its lower variants can also be had with a smaller 59kWh battery pack. Here are the specifications of the BE6 Batman Edition:

In terms of charging capabilities, the BE6 79kWh can charge from 0-80% within a span of 20 minutes via a 140kW DC charger. Mahindra also offers 7.9kW and 11kW home charger options with the BE6 Batman Edition.
The Batman Edition is based on the top-end Pack Three variant of the BE6 and has been priced at Rs 27.79 lakh (ex-showroom). This means that it carries a premium of Rs 90,000 for the additional features, style enhancements and other changes over the Pack Three variant of the BE6.

Mahindra had pleasantly surprised us with the looks and capabilities of the BE6 when it was unveiled in 2024, and the carmaker has done it again with this sinister Batman Edition. Clearly, Mahindra is looking to attract a young audience for the BE6 Batman Edition with its cool features, concept car-like exterior looks and now a collaboration with one of the most popular superheroes of all time!
