Priced at Rs 89,999 for the base drum variant and Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the front disc version, this new iteration of the Glamour, called the ‘Hero Glamour X 125’ aims to redefine what riders can expect from a daily commuter while introducing features never seen before in this class. The 2025 Glamour X 125 takes a big leap forward in terms of equipment.

Cruisin’ Down The Highway
For starters, the Hero Glamour X 125 gets ride-by-wire throttle, which not only refines throttle response but also adds cruise control - which are segment-first features in the 125cc space, and also 3 ride modes - more on that in the forthcoming paragraphs.

The right-side switchgear hosts the toggle to activate cruise control, with ‘+’ and ‘-’ buttons to adjust speed, much like larger-capacity touring and cruising bikes. Interestingly, the next most affordable bike with ride-by-wire in India is from the same brand: the Hero XPulse 210 base-spec priced at Rs 1,75,800 (ex-showroom).
Filled To The Brim

But it doesn't stop there, the new Glamour also gets a 5-inch colour LCD console that’s been borrowed from the Hero Xtreme 250R, Karizma XMR and XPulse 210. It gets Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, real-time efficiency readouts, distance to empty, gear position indicator, call and SMS alerts.

The switchgear too is borrowed from bigger Hero bikes, with a dedicated button on the left side to choose between 3 ride modes: Eco, Road, and Power. Hero’s familiar i3S idle start-stop system also makes its way here - for better mileage. It has ‘panic braking alert’ as well, i.e., the hazards turn on automatically under hard braking.

It also gets all-LED lights, a USB charging port, and a small underseat storage to keep your papers. Note that the base drum variant gets halogen tail light and indicators, and it also misses out on cruise control and the panic braking alert.

Glamour With ‘Xtreme’ Performance
Interestingly, the Glamour gets the Xtreme 125R’s 124.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 11.55PS at 8,250rpm, 10.5Nm at 6,500rpm, and is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The engine also gets a balancer shaft for optimum refinement. And, an extra treat for the ‘real men’ is also present: a kick-start!
Does It Pack A Knock Out Punch?

With the feature updates, the Hero Glamour X 125 is now positioned as India’s most feature-loaded 125cc commuter. Its rivals: the TVS Raider 125, Honda SP 125, and Bajaj Pulsar N125 - all suddenly seem a lot more plain jane, in terms of features at least.

The addition of cruise control and riding modes could tilt the scales in Hero’s favour, especially for riders who split their time between city commutes and occasional highway runs or those whose commutes involve a long stretch of highway somewhere in between.
Wait, There’s More

Coming to the underpinnings: It has a diamond frame and a tubular swingarm, suspended by a 30mm telescopic fork and 5-step adjustable twin shocks - all shared with the Hero Glamour XTEC. It rolls 18-inch alloy wheels at both ends with a 80-section front and 100-section rear tyre - both tubeless. It has a reasonable 790mm seat height, generous 170mm ground clearance, 10-litre fuel tank, and the kerb weight depends on the variant: 125.5kg for drum, 127kg for disc.

As for what’s in the aesthetics department, it gets 5 colours: Black Pearl Red, Black Teal Blue, Candy Blazing Red, Metallic Nexus Blue, and Matt Magnetic Silver. You can add optional accessories like a short windscreen, belly pan, knuckle guards, pillion backrest, tank pads and rear tyre hugger.
ZigSays

By bringing in segment-first features like ride-by-wire, cruise control and ride modes - Hero has clearly tried to raise the bar for 125cc bikes in India. Whether commuters really need cruise control or not is a different question altogether, but there’s no denying that the 2025 Glamour makes the 125cc space a lot more exciting.

But then again, by offering such fancy features on an executive commuter, the range-topping Hero Xtreme 125R suddenly feels inadequate while costing Rs 2,101 more. Perhaps the 125R is the next in line for a proper facelift, but that’s a (launch) story for another time.

Now, with the launch of the new Glamour X 125, Hero has - wait for it - 6 Glamours if you count all the variants! Confused? Here’s a variant-wise breakdown with prices:
