Harley Davidson Pan America 1250 Special Edition

Harley-Davidson has taken the wraps off a special edition of the Pan America 1250 abroad.

Named the Special (G.I. Enthusiasts Collection), this new special edition has been created to celebrate the brand’s unique riders and their interests in the community. The GI collection also honours riders who have served and who are currently serving the US Armed forces.

The most notable aspect of the special edition Harley is the standout livery. Dubbed Mineral Green Denim Deluxe, this colour wraps the bike in a deep green shade, taking inspiration from the Olive colour used on the iconic Harley-Davidson WLA (a special Harley-Davidson that was built for the US Army during World War II). Completing the livery is a stencilled H-D logo on the fuel tank accompanied by a white star (similar to what Harley used on its WWII bikes), and a subtle enthusiast logo up front.

Harley-Davidson also provides military personnel with free shipping of its merchandise and accessories to all U.S military installations and addresses throughout the globe.

The bike is mechanically unchanged. At its heart is the 1,252cc V-twin engine making 152PS and 128Nm. Harley-Davidson has priced the Pan America 1250 Special G.I. at $20,799 (Rs. 16.55 lakh), making it $800 (Rs. 63,660) more expensive than the Pan America Special 1250.

As for India, the motorcycle ranges from Rs 18,25,000 to Rs 20,99,000 (ex-showroom). While the India-spec model does not get this livery, we suspect it could make its way here as the MY23 Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250.
