Skoda Octavia RS Design

The India-spec Octavia RS takes the familiar Octavia silhouette and infuses it with bold RS design elements. It looks aggressive yet classy, sporty yet sophisticated

The front end gets a gloss black treatment on the familiar butterfly Skoda grille. You get sportier bumpers when compared to the non-RS version that is sold globally. Dual-pod matrix LED headlights and V-shaped LED DRLs have a sleek charm to them. The black exhaust tailpipes and RS badging emphasise its performance intent. A rear spoiler adds both aesthetic flair and aerodynamic function. 19-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels go well with the overall design. 

You can pick from five interesting colour choices: Mamba Green, Race Blue, Velvet Red, Magic Black, and Candy White, with the green shade being a particular favourite among RS loyalists.

Dimensions-wise, it measures 4,709 mm in length, 1,829 mm in width, and 1,457 mm in height. It’s larger than most of its rivals. The 600-litre boot space also makes it a surprisingly practical performance car.

Step inside, and the cabin immediately reminds you that this is no ordinary Octavia. The interior theme is dominated by black, complemented by red inserts on the dashboard and seats.

Skoda Octavia RS Powertrain 

Under the hood lies the star of the show: a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, producing 265 PS and 370 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission, sending power to the front wheels.

Performance is blistering, with a 0-100 kmph sprint in just 6.4 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 250 kmph. The Octavia RS uses progressive steering, sports suspension, and a sports exhaust to deliver the engaging drive enthusiasts crave.

The 2025 Skoda Octavia RS is likely to be priced from Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be considered as a rival to the likes of the Mini Cooper S and Volkswagen Golf GTI.
