Citroen India’s “Do What Matters” campaign is all set to take off with the introduction of Citroen Team Dhoni editions for the C3 and C3 Aircross later in June. This campaign’s purpose is to unite Team India fans ahead of the T20 World Cup Cricket Championship. Earlier, Citroen had announced the Indian cricket star Mahendra Singh Dhoni as their brand ambassador in India.
To appeal to the cricket craze and especially Dhoni fans across the country, Citroen is going to launch Team Dhoni Edition C3 and C3 Aircross with graphic decals and accessories inspired by the Indian cricket star M.S Dhoni. These limited edition models, likely to be limited to higher-end variants, will offer attractive options to cricket fans across the country who want something unique and different.
Citroen C3 is the French manufacturer's entry-level hatchback in India. Offered in 3 broad trims, it gets an option of 2 engines to choose from. A 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission producing 82 PS and 115 Nm and a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission producing 110 PS and 190 Nm.
The C3 features a 10.2-inch infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, one touch up/down power windows and keyless entry. Safety equipment encompasses 2-airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), rear parking sensors with reverse camera, hill hold assist and even a tyre pressure monitoring system.
It is priced from Rs 6.16 lakh to Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and rivals other hatchbacks like the Tata Tiago and Maruti Suzuki Swift.
Citroen C3 Aircross is the brand’s entry level subcompact SUV which is offered in both 5 and 7 seater options, the latter being unique in its segment. Powered by a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine producing 110 PS and 190 Nm which can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a torque converter automatic transmission.
Offered in 3 board trims, the C3 Aircross features a 10.2-inch infotainment system with wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, remote locking and roof-mounted AC vents for the second and third row passengers. On the safety front, it gets 2 airbags, ABS with EBD, hill-start assist, rear parking sensors with reverse camera. Priced from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 14.11 Lakh (ex-showroom), it rivals other compact SUVs like the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, VW Taigun and Skoda Kushaq.
