The Chinese auto-group Zheijiang Geely Holding is well-known, being owners of the Swedish car manufacturer Volvo, as well as QJMotor. Now, they have a new Chinese brand, with a frustratingly familiar name: PFMoto.
The “PF” comes from Paifang, which is a traditional Chinese architectural style for the design of entrance gates. The brand’s logo is the Greek letter “Pi” (the mathematical symbol for 3.14-however-many-decimal-points-you-can-remember-it-to).

PFMoto has recently unveiled their first offering called the Starship. This motorcycle looks like a grand tourer in terms of styling, something bearing a silhouette along the lines of the Honda Gold Wing. The large squared LED headlight is eye-catching, and gels well into the fascia that sweeps into the oversized side panels.
As for the specifics of the engine, nothing is known just yet, but from the images one can see it being powered by a V-engine. However, given that PFMoto has an arsenal of technology at its disposal from CFMoto and Benelli, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Starship gets a 600cc V-twin engine, or maybe even the V4 engine produced by Benda.

The air filter on the right side seems to have a bright ambient light, which is a nice little sci-fi touch. Underpinnings on the Starship include a telescopic front fork and the braking system is a front single disc with ABS.
Set to be launched around the 16th of August, the Starship is clearly just the beginning for PFMoto, and we will certainly be seeing a more diverse model range from the company.
