Honda has unveiled the 2027 Africa Twin 1150 range at EICMA 2026, introducing a major overhaul of its halo adventure bike. The new Africa Twin family comprises three models: the standard Africa Twin, Africa Twin Adventure Sports and the all-new Africa Twin Enduro Sports.
All three motorcycles share a new engine and electronics package but get different hardware to cater to distinct riding requirements. Here's a closer look at what each variant offers.
At the heart of the new Africa Twin range is a 1,131cc parallel-twin engine producing 117 PS and 119 Nm.
The redesigned fuel tank extends partially beneath the seat, helping lower the centre of gravity. Other notable upgrades include Showa suspension with Skyhook Control (suspension which adjusts itself according to the road conditions), six customisable riding modes and a redesigned handlebar and footpegs for a more active riding stance.
The motorcycles also get two TFT console options, measuring 5.7-inch and 7-inch, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

The biggest addition to the lineup is the Africa Twin Enduro Sports, which is designed for riders who spend more time exploring trails than touring on highways.
It weighs 228 kg (kerb) and gets mechanical suspension with 240 mm of front wheel travel and 230 mm at the rear wheel. Ground clearance stands at a massive 260 mm, making it the most off-road-focused motorcycle in the family.
The Enduro Sports also gets a manual gearbox, an HRC Tricolour paint scheme and no electrically adjustable windscreen.

For long-distance riders, the Africa Twin Adventure Sports gets a smaller 19-inch front wheel and a 24.2-litre fuel tank. Honda claims a range of approximately 480 km, while kerb weight stands at 245 kg.
In Italy, the standard Adventure Sports will be available exclusively with a manual gearbox and gets E-Combined ABS.
Honda will also offer a Honda Sensing Ride version, which adds a DCT gearbox and two radar sensors. These enable features such as adaptive cruise control, collision warnings and blind-spot detection. The additional equipment increases its kerb weight to 256 kg.

The standard Africa Twin is positioned as the most versatile offering in the range. It gets a 21-inch front wheel, an 18.8-litre fuel tank and a kerb weight of 237 kg.
With its balanced hardware package, it is aimed at riders seeking a motorcycle that can handle everyday riding, touring and occasional off-road excursions.

While Honda has not confirmed whether the new Africa Twin 1150 range will be introduced in India, we expect it to happen sometime next year. The Africa Twin has always been a popular bike in India, and Honda will not like to miss out on that opportunity.
