With Nissan’s revival plans for its India operations underway, the carmaker has recently announced the arrivals of three products: the Gravite MPV, the Tekton SUV and another 7-seat SUV within the near future. And now, the Japanese automaker has revealed the launch dates of the Gravite and Tekton, which are coming sooner than expected! Let’s take a look at what we know so far about the next products from Nissan:
Launch Date: 21 January, 2026
Based on the CMF-A+ platform that also underpins the Renault Triber, the Nissan Gravite aims to cater to the lower end of the MPV market, in order to claw back some of the lost volumes for Nissan over the years. The Gravite will be offered with a 7-seater layout, and it is likely to be powered by a 1-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine shared with the Magnite.

While other details remain under wraps until the launch scheduled on 21 January, from the sketches revealed till now, we can see that Nissan has taken a distinct styling approach, incorporating elements like a ‘V-shaped’ grille, sharper bumpers and more muscular body panels.

Unveil Date: 4 February, 2026
Next up is the Tekton, which will play a very important role in Nissan’s India offensive by competing in the hotly-contested compact SUV segment. From what we know so far, it will share its platform with the upcoming Renault Duster, which is slated to make its debut later this month.

While we do have a glimpse of what it will look like, other details are yet to be revealed. It is likely to be powered by a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine underneath, which will also be shared with its Renault counterpart. We will know more about the Tekton when it is unveiled on 4 February.

Launch Date: 2027
The third product in Nissan’s revival plan will arrive on our shores in 2027, and will be a 7-seater compact SUV rivalling the likes of the Hyundai Alcazar and Kia Carens Clavis. While we await more details, we expect it to be based on the Renault Boreal, which is offered in markets like Turkey and Brazil. It is expected to share powertrain options with the Tekton.

Nissan’s product offensive is the carmaker’s response to dwindling sales figures globally, and with India poised to become one of the largest car markets globally, it is no surprise that the carmaker is betting heavily on this market. That said, there is still a lot of work to be done, and these new products are a step in the right direction.
