2025 Triumph Trident 660 and Speed Triple 1200 RS have been launched in India
-
The Trident gets new features, the Speed Triple makes more power and has better equipment
-
Both bikes command a fair premium over the 2024 models
After teasing it last week, Triumph has officially launched the updated 2025 Trident 660 in India. Along with this, the British manufacturer has also launched the new 2025 Speed Triple 1200 RS. While both bikes retain their iconic three-cylinder character, they now feature significant upgrades that enhance both tech and ride quality. Prices for the Trident 660 now start at Rs 8.49 lakh, while the new Speed Triple 1200 RS comes in at Rs 20.39 lakh (both ex-showroom, India).

What’s New on the 2025 Triumph Trident 660?
-
New Sport mode added to the existing Road and Rain modes
-
Bidirectional quickshifter, and Bluetooth connectivity are now standard
-
Cruise control added for the first time
-
New Showa Big Piston fork replaces the previous inverted fork
-
Three new colour options: Yellow, Blue and Red
-
Price increased by Rs 37,000
The Triumph Trident 660 was always about simplicity with a triple-cylinder soul. For 2025, that simplicity now gets better with more features than ever before. The new features make the Trident a better value for money proposition.

The switch to a Showa Big Piston front fork should improve feel and stability, even though the suspension remains non-adjustable. And while the powertrain stays unchanged, the lovable 660cc triple still makes 81PS and 64Nm. The 2025 iteration also comes wrapped up in three new vibrant colour options alongside the classic all-black. The Trident goes against the likes of the Honda CB650R and the Kawasaki Z650 in India. While the parallel-twin Kawasaki Z650 is affordable and the CB650R is a lot more premium due to its four-cylinder configuration, the Trident 660 sits in the sweet spot between the two, offering a balance of competitive pricing and performance.

What’s New on the 2025 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS?
-
More powerful engine: 183PS (+3PS) and 128Nm (+3Nm)
-
New exhaust system enables higher output
-
Latest-gen Öhlins EC3 electronic suspension is now standard
-
New lighter wheels reduce unsprung mass
-
Pirelli Supercorsa V3 tyres replace Metzeler Racetecs
-
Standard steering damper added
-
Independent wheelie control setting (separate from traction control)
-
Price increased by Rs 2.44 lakh
The Speed Triple 1200 RS has always been Triumph’s top-tier motorcycle. For 2025, it goes even more bonkers. The updated exhaust system has helped to eke out slightly more power, taking the numbers up to 183hp and 128Nm.

The new Öhlins EC3 electronic suspension will address a common rider complaint reported in the earlier model - stiff suspension. The lighter wheels and stickier Pirelli Supercorsa V3 tyres will aid the bike in becoming more agile and flickable. The standard steering damper is a functional (and safety-conscious) addition for those who wish to push hard. The wheelie control can now be adjusted independently of the traction control.
Even with its price now at Rs 20.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Speed Triple still significantly undercuts European rivals like the Ducati Streetfighter V4 and KTM 1390 Super Duke R, while offering a similarly bonkers riding experience.
