The upcoming 2025 KTM RC 390 was spotted testing abroad. Now we have a clearer picture of what we can expect from this upcoming supersport. The updated supersport could launch in India by 2026.

In terms of design and styling, KTM has gone back to the ready to race formula, giving this bike a Moto 3 inspired fairing. It looks more aerodynamic as compared to the current-genKTM RC 390. The visor is also curvier than before. Overall, the bike manages to look quite good and it is clear that it has taken inspiration from the higher capacity KTM RC 8C bike as well, but without the winglets.It also looks a lot more similar to the first-gen KTM RC 390 that people loved a lot more than the current KTM RC 390. It looks like KTM decided to go back to the same aggressive design language as the second-gen RC 390 was not very well received.

The bike will be powered by the new 399cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the third-gen KTM 390 Duke. The engine outputs 46PS and 39Nm; this will make it more powerful than the currently available KTM RC 390 by 2.5PS and 2Nm. We expect KTM to make a few changes to the engine tuning to make it more suited to the supersport nature.

In terms of underpinnings, we expect the bike to feature the similar cycleparts as the KTM 390 Duke. This will include an 43mm WP APEX fork and a WP APEX monoshock, with preload and rebound adjustability. The bike will roll on 17-inch wheels at both ends, with braking duties taken care of by discs at the front and rear.

In terms of features, we are expecting a lot of the same electronic riding aids to be carried forward from the KTM 390 Duke. This would include bits like traction control, wheelie control, cornering ABS, ride modes and the quickshifter as well. Other than this, we think the bike will get the same 5-inch TFT console as the KTM 390 Duke, but with some graphic tweaks.

We expect the 2025 KTM RC 390 to be launched in India at around Rs 3.5 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike will most likely be unveiled at EICMA 2025 first , and then launched in early 2026. It will go up against the TVS Apache RR 310.
