The highly anticipated Tata Curvv is all set to launch in its EV avatar next month, with the ICE (Internal Combustion Engined) counterpart following sometime soon after that. The Tata Curvv will mark the entry of a SUV-coupe in the compact SUV segment with its unique sloping roof body styling and will rival the likes of the Honda Elevate.
It is most likely to be feature loaded up to the brim, and in this article we list down 10 such feature niceties which the Tata Curvv could get over the Honda Elevate.
Apart from its SUV-coupe body style, the exterior highlight of the Tata Curvv is going to be connected LED DRLs (Daytime running lights) upfront and LED connected tail lights at the rear. These LED units will also have a welcome animation function, further adding to its appeal. While there is no functional advantage of this feature, it does look premium whenever you lock/unlock the vehicle. The Honda Elevate on the other hand does not get this feature.
Another major highlight of the Tata Curvv will be the panoramic sunroof which is not available in the Honda Elevate as it just gets a single-pane sunroof.
The Tata Curvv, like its siblings, will be equipped with a big 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Honda Elevate gets a smaller 10.25-inch unit in comparison.
The Tata Curvv will also feature a premium sound system (likely to be JBL) with a total of 9-speakers, as found in few other Tata cars. The Honda Elevate on the other hand is not equipped with a branded sound system and gets a 4-speaker and 4-tweeter setup.
The Tata Curvv will also feature a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display which can even relay Google maps via Android Auto or Apple CarPlay along with other vitals of the vehicle. The Honda Elevate on the contrary gets a smaller part analog and part digital cluster.
A comfort feature which in our country’s hot temperatures has become a necessity. The Tata Curvv will be equipped with ventilated front seats as found in its other siblings like the Nexon and Harrier. The Honda Elevate does not get this feature, but the brand offers an external plug-in seat ventilation accessory.
The Tata Curvv’s convenience quotient further goes up with the power adjustable driver’s seat. The Honda Elevate misses out on this feature nicety and gets manual adjustment only.
Another advantage with the Tata Curvv will be its powered tailgate. It is anticipated to get a gesture control feature as well, for added convenience. The Honda Elevate on the other hand does not get it and boasts a simple electric tailgate release.
While the Honda Elevate gets a conventional manually operated hand-brake, the Tata Curvv will be equipped with an electronic parking brake with auto-hold and hill descent control functionality..
The Tata Curvv will be loaded with safety tech including a 360 degree surround view parking camera setup along with front and rear parking sensors. Additionally, instead of Level 1 ADAS found in the Elevate, the Curvv will most likely get Level 2 ADAS functionalities with a bit more features.
With all these expected features over the Honda Elevate, will the Tata Curvv be able to establish itself prominently in the highly competitive compact SUV segment? Only time will tell, but until then, do let us know what you think about it.
