2026 Tata Curvv Series X Launched; Coupe-SUV Gets More Features In Lower And Mid-Spec Variants!

As part of its constant refreshes across its product lineup, Tata Cars (formerly known as Tata Motors) has given its Curvv coupe-SUV an update, which brings a variant rejig and minor upgrades to the feature list of lower variants. But is it going to be enough, and does the Series X induce an X factor? Let’s find out: 

2026 Tata Curvv Series X: Price And Variants

Compared to the 8 variants offered on the outgoing version, the Curvv Series X is available in a range of 5 variants. Here is how they stack up in terms of pricing:

As seen above, pricing for the Curvv Series X now ranges between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 18.75 lakh (ex-showroom). Now let’s take a look at the updates:

2026 Tata Curvv Series X: Exterior

Styling-wise not much has changed in the Curvv Series X, and it retains its unique coupe-SUV shape that helps it stand out from the crowd of other compact SUVs. Upfront, it gets a gloss black grille and lower air dam, along with LED DRLs on top. The LED headlamps are mounted on the bumper in a vertical arrangement.

From the side, it gets a sloping roofline and modern touches like piano black cladding, flush-fit door handles and 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Do note that even the base Smart X variant now features 17-inch steel wheels with stylised wheel covers.

The rear-end remains identical to the outgoing car with a tall bootlid, roof spoiler, connected LED headlamps and generous amounts of piano-black trim on the bumper. 

The coupe-SUV’s colour palette has been revised, and it is available in 5 colour options: Carbon Black, Nitro Crimson, Opera Blue, Pure Grey and Pristine White. The Black shade is offered with the #DARK Edition, which also adds blacked-out exterior and interior details.

Inside, the Curvv Series X features a sleek dashboard design with a freestanding infotainment display. You also have a four-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo and a touch-based climate control panel.

However, what is new is Oyster White leatherette seat upholstery, which is available from the Pure X+ variant onwards. With this update, Tata has placed the rear seat 20 mm further back and 10 mm lower, while also increasing legroom by an extra 10 mm with scooped-out front seatbacks.

The feature list of the Curvv Series X remains unchanged, but the variant lineup has been refreshed with lower-spec trims now getting a lot more equipment. The top-spec car still comes equipped with features like a panoramic sunroof, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, powered tailgate, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 9-speaker JBL sound system, wireless phone charger and dual-zone climate control.

Its list of safety technology includes 6 airbags, Level 2 ADAS, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system, 360-degree camera, all-wheel disc brakes, front and rear parking sensors, hill hold assist and ISOFIX child seat anchorages. The Curvv has previously scored 5-stars in the Bharat NCAP crash tests.

The engine options of the Curvv Series X remain unchanged compared to the outgoing car, although you can now have the T-GDI turbo-petrol with only the automatic gearbox. Here are its detailed specifications:

2026 Tata Curvv Series X: Rivals

The Curvv Series X has only one direct rival in the Citroen Basalt X. It may also be an alternative to other compact SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Maruti Grand Vitara and Victoris, Toyota Hyryder, Citroen Aircross, MG Astor, Renault Duster, Tata Sierra and Nissan Tekton.

Unlike most recent Tata Cars launches, the Curvv has not seen immense success, and this update is an attempt to revive its performance. Given that the carmaker now has the Sierra in a similar price bracket, instead of offering new features and more equipment, this update focuses on bringing better value to lower variants, which remain competitively priced as against the competition. Whether this will translate to a true sales revival remains to be seen; however, we can safely conclude that the coupe-SUV now offers better value for the money.
