Purosangue SUV to be powered by a naturally aspirated V12 engine.
Ferrari’s first EV to debut in 2025.
Product lineup to comprise 40 percent ICE and 60 percent of hybrid and EV models by 2026.
With emission norms getting stricter by the day and the push for electrification in full swing, it’s inevitable that even hardcore exotic carmakers such as Ferrari keep up with the times. And they’re making steps towards that in their recently revealed 2022-2026 roadmap which includes up to 15 new launches.
Before we get to the electric side of things, we finally have confirmation that the prancing horse’s first-ever SUV, the Purosangue, will make its debut in September this year, replete with a good ol’ V12 under the hood. Yep, no electric assistance here. So we think Ferrari’s trusty naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 motor will continue to soldier on. The SUV’s already been teased, and you can have a look at it from multiple angles here.
The Purosangue aside, Ferrari has confirmed there will be a new supercar joining their stable as one of the 15 new launches. Also, the carmaker’s first ever all-electric vehicle will break cover in 2025.
As part of Ferrari now giving its first proper indication of a push for electrification, the carmaker aims to have 40 percent of its product lineup be ICE models, and 60 percent of them be hybrids and pure EVs by 2026. For 2030, that ratio is slated to evolve into 20 percent ICE, 40 percent hybrid and 40 percent EVs.
While 2026 is still some way away, Ferrari have a lot in the pipeline and we can’t wait to see what’s in store, starting with the Purosangue SUV, which will have to stave off intense competition against other super SUVs such as the Lamborghini Urus, Audi RSQ8, Porsche Cayenne, Bentley Bentayga, and the Aston Martin DBX707.
