It has been over two years in the making, but the Simple One electric scooter finally has a launch date: May 23. The e-scooter has been in the development phase for quite some time and we even managed to ride a pre-production version of the One last year. It left us quite spellbound, to say the least, but the massive delays in deliveries might have caused many potential buyers to look elsewhere.
Simple Energy’s top boss Suhas Rajkumar has stated that the One has undergone further rigorous testing so as to extract better performance and range in the process. The aesthetics are also said to have improved but we shall comment on the same once we see the final product in the flesh.
What remains to be seen is whether Simple manages to offer the One at the same attractive price tag of Rs 1,09,999 (ex-Bengaluru, incl FAME-II subsidies) for the standard model and Rs 1,44,999 for the extended battery pack version. So, another month of waiting is not going to harm anyone, eh?
