After announcing its official 'Mahindra Racing Team' on Friday, Mahindra was one of the honourable guests present at the ET ZigWheels Car and Bikes of the Year Awards on Friday night. The two riders, 19-year old Danny Webb and 18-year old Marcel Schrotter from Germany, will represent Mahindra Racing, the very first Indian team in MotoGP. These talented two youngsters have the honour as well as the responsibility of flying the Indian tricolour for the first time in the pinnacle of motorcycle racing, MotoGP.

Mahindra Racing will be participating in the 125cc class with a bike developed by the Mahindra-owned Italian motorcycle developing firm, Engines Engineering. The Italy-based firm has been competing in MotoGP since 2003 and has been actively involved in the championship with various teams and manufacturers. This is the first time that an Indian manufacturer has taken the bold step and ventured into the intensely competitive world of motorcycle racing in MotoGP. We wish the Mahindra Racing Team all the best on behalf of ZigWheels and all its readers.
