Maruti Ciaz is available in 8 Petrol variants, out of which 3 are automatic and 5 are manual. The base Petrol variant Ciaz Sigma starts at Rs. 8.32 lakh. and the top-end Petrol variant Ciaz Alpha AMT is priced at Rs. 11.10 lakh.
The petrol engines can run on an alternate fuel which is known to be CNG(Compressed natural gas). When the engine runs on CNG fuel, the power and the torque obtained are very low if you compare it with petrol's performance. Although you might be able to have a higher mileage the engine reacts differently as far as performance is concerned. The Maruti Ciaz petrol variant can be installed with the CNG kit but we do not recommend the aftermarket installation as it can void the warranty of the car. If you do want to install the CNG kit, we would suggest you visit the nearest Maruti authorised Service centre so that they may assist you with the compatibility and installation of it.Click here for the Dealership: https://www.zigwheels.com/dealers/Maruti-Suzuki

No good idea

Yes it is suitable if you opt for good quality cng kit
I own diesel and it's very good in terms of performance and mileage. Honestly it is a good time to buy a diesel car because from next year the prices of diesel car will be dearer by 2-2.5 lacs. Also depends on your daily run. If it is around 50 kms then go for diesel otherwise get a petrol one.

It will depend on what your requirements are. Suggest that you see and test drive both versions and take a decision on what is best suited for you.

I have driven both, petrol version is crisp abd sharp, diesel engine feels heavy on the road. I prefer diesel.
If you are traveling less than 50-60km a day, opt for a petrol car instead of a diesel. With the extra Rs 1-1.50 lakh spent on a diesel purchase, you can actually drive a similar petrol car for as many as two years! So, do your math carefully. A diesel usually makes sense if you are driving above 60/70km a day.If outright performance and driving dynamics aren't the most important parameter on your list, and you just need a comfy, spacious sedan to drive to (or be driven in) to work and back, then the Ciaz makes a stronger case than ever.

Both are reliable and frugal which offer decent performance and peace of mind in long term ownership. You should make a choice depending upon your budget and usage pattern. If you have high running go for diesel 1.5 or trusted 1.3. If you want silent, refined petrol car then choose either ciaz Petrol or city Petrol

Whichever you get a good deal at. Both cars are nice. If you drive a lot then go for diesel otherwise petrol
There is no need to fit CNG kit in Ciaz as it is already fun to drive package and gets SHVS technology which gives the mileage at power with rivals. Apart from it, It is always recommended to get the CNG kit fitted from the authorized service center so that you can avail the warranty services as well. If you get it installed from some other sources, then it may hamper your warranty. On the other hand, please make sure that the CNG kit that you are installing is RTO approved to avoid future troublesome. We suggest you to get in touch with the authorized service center to know the nitty-gritty of the fittings as they will be the best people to suggest you the compatible CNG kit for your car. However, the downside is that you would loose out on the boot space & you have to sacrifice with the power to get more fuel economy. It would be better to consult a professional and also an engineer from Maruti Suzuki before taking a decision.
