Maruti Suzuki has launched Ciaz 1.5 litre diesel at Rs 9.97 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Ciaz 1.5 litre is available in all variants except base Sigma.
The Maruti Ciaz will rival the likes of the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Toyota Yaris, Skoda Rapid and Volkswagen Vento.
The New 1.5-litre Ciaz diesel engine is offered with a new 6-speed manual transmission.
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz 1.5 litre promises to be more refined and offer better performance than the old 1.3-litre unit. Compared to the 1.3-litre diesel, the 1.5-litre engine puts out 5PS and 25Nm more and is around 12kg lighter thanks to its cast aluminium construction. It costs between Rs 17000 - 53000 more than the equivalent version of the 1.3-litre powered Ciaz. Be it on the outside or the inside the Ciaz 1.5 diesel remains unchanged. So you get the same set of features except for the start stop system that you get on the 1.3 version.
