Q. I weigh 100kg, is unicorn 160 a good bike? I had old model of Thunderbird 350 but it requires a lot of maintenance, has poor mileage and usual starting problem.
  • Please take a ride first. We can't tell you hearing your weight about is the bike right for you or not. But about most of the CB unicorn riders I ve seen regardless of their weight find it very very best for all kinds of riding even offroading in much difficult roads. Less frequent servicing also makes it good. But one thing might matter that is your height. If you are the tallest it is a lot easier but a bit uncomfortable in Rocky places but if you are very short some feel it taller and soon get used to and feel good. Best of luck
  • Yes You can go for it .
  • Thunderbird 350
Q. What is the difference between Honda unicorn 150 and 160?
  • 1.You get the same engine refinement from both the machines. With respect to overall engine performance Unicorn 160 is better with higher power and torque. 2.Both bikes return almost the same fuel efficiency. 3.The maintenance and service cost is almost the same for both the bikes. 4. Unicorn 160 is easier to manoeuvre through traffic because of lesser dimensions and weight compared to Unicorn 150. Also the unicorn 160 is equipped with digital instrument cluster where as Unicorn 150 has an analog cluster.
  • The engine and the body graphics, the 160 can accelerate like accelerate hard but lacks maneuvering because of the long wheel base. Mileage is also below average. If mileage is the concern then 150 it is.
  • 160 has the looks like a hybrid of a commuter and street bike with a powerful 163cc engine which can hit speeds closer to 110kmph while unicorn 150 is a commuter with a slightly less powerful 150cc engine. The 160 can easily cruise at 95kmph while unicorn 150 tends to vibrate excessively at that speed.

Q. I want to ask which is the best bike for daily 60km ride daily? Confused between a Thunderbird and Avenger 220. The issue is I found a lot of vibrations in Tthunderbird any other suggestion is welcome.
  • I own a Avenger 220 Cruise. Must tell you the ride is really comfortable and no vibrations or difficulty in traffic. Can easily maneuver in traffic. Two things I don\'t like is the long wheelbase makes turn radius more, which becomes difficult while taking you turns or changing to the opposite lane. Second is pick up is average for a 220 cc engine. Rest: Low Maintainence Cost, Spare parts availability, Bajaj Service Center Availability , Pretty Good Mileage of around 25-30 Kmpl and The Best Is You can go on Long Drive in comfort, No Back Pain, Less Vibration, Less Fuel Stops and the best Cruising at 80kmpl comfortable and enjoy the Ride. Now my friend also has a Thunderbird. Same as known problems, Vibrations, Mileage Problem, High Service Charge, comparatively less service center availability and the biggest concern is the spare parts cost. Average Pick Up. Which means you\'ll struggle overtaking. Thunderbird although gives you a very much comfortable ride except for the vibrations. For daily commute, I wouldn\'t Suggest a Thunderbird. For a daily commute of 60km, you can go for Avenger 220 Street or Cruise. Other options would be NS 200 or Yamaha FZ or New Gixxer is also good I guess.
