Superb Bike

The Yamaha R15S is a popular sports bike in the Indian market. It comes with a sporty and aggressive design that appeals to young riders who are looking for a powerful and stylish bike. One of the key highlights of the R15S is its 155cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power of 18.6 ps and a peak torque of 14.1 nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox that offers smooth and precise shifts. The bike has a top speed of around 140 km/h. The Yamaha R15S also comes with a fully digital instrument cluster that provides a lot of information to the rider, including speed, rpm, fuel level, gear position, and more. The bike also features led headlights and taillights, which offer excellent visibility and safety. The bike's riding position is sporty, which means that the rider is leaned forward and the footpegs are positioned slightly higher than on a regular bike. This may not be comfortable for some riders, especially those who are used to a more upright riding position. In terms of handling and performance, the Yamaha R15S is an excellent bike. It has sharp and responsive handling that makes it easy to ride around corners and on twisty roads. The bike also has a good suspension setup that offers a comfortable ride, even on bumpy roads. However, one of the downsides of the Yamaha R15S is its price. It is one of the most expensive bikes in its segment, which makes it out of reach for some buyers who are looking for a more affordable option. Overall, the Yamaha R15S is a great bike for young riders who are looking for a powerful and stylish sports bike. It has a great engine, excellent handling, and good looks, but it comes at a premium price.

It's the best bike in 155cc

It's the best bike in 155cc class bike you are about to get pros.Milege is good, Smooth and swift in riding once you get used to it.Handling is good as well.Well refined engine.Vva(variable valve actuation )once activated gives astounding boost.Top class 1performance at higher rpms.Top speed:150 with everything stock cons: break pads could have been little better.Gear shifting is harsh sometimes.

Long rides

5.0

I bought this bike as my first bike and my review can be biased. The best thing about Yamaha R15 V3 is that you just can't get enough from a 155 cc, This bike is more than a 155 cc bike. Now talk about the pros and cons. According to me, this bike has the best performance among the 155cc, offering 19 bhp power and 14 torque. Another best thing is the variable valve actuation which helps a lot in delivering power in different rpm ratios. The look is truly based on the Yamaha R15 and looks just amazing. Now as everyone knows this bike has the mileage. I am getting 46-49kmpl by daily commuting which includes every type of drive. The features are also too good as you get a digital instrument console, which has a lot of pf information in it. This bike is a beast when comes to curves. I have upgraded my bike with 150/110 tyre sections in the rear and front. Now the confidence I get on curves is just unbelievable. Braking is very decent and never faced any issue with it. There are more pros than I have already mentioned, but the only cons which I think should be considered can be riding position, which is more aggressive and can be uncomfortable for long rides. But in the end, it doesn't matter, because when you want the thrill of a true sports bike. You know there is no comfort. I just love my bike.

Denying fact

4.2

Since its launch in 2008, I became a BIG fan of this bike in my childhood. After watching it evolving through time to time, as I got my license, I decided to buy this 150cc maniac. There's no denying fact that this 150cc perfoms just like a 200cc machine. It's screaming power output and aerodynamics, it made me reach over 150kms of top speed, just like a moderate 200cc bikes did. There's no word 'comfort' in it. It's aggressively positioned, which I prefer for the best handling at corners and speed. Console and engine are two precious gems embedded on it.Mileage is bonkers! Once I got 52kmpl, can't believe this!? Pillion seat height is not that high and refinement is still there as it used to have since 2008.I prefer this 150cc machine over 200cc because you get more mileage, which is the strongest issue in the motorcycle market of India, and its refined, its friendly natured..... Until you go past 9k RPM

Bit painful

4.6

Well performance wise we all know what this 150cc(155cc to be precise) machine is capable of without compromising on mileage.Once vva gets activated you can even smoke 200cc segment bikes in their stock form.Grabs a lot of attention on the roads.Servicing cost are quiet reasonable and parts are premium so some bit of parts can be costly but worth every penny. The ride quality is good and bike runs very smooth even on high rpm's.Gets a bit painful on the wrist and waist on long distance rides unless you are not used to it or you don't have experience on aggressive bikes. So on long rides tank grips are recommended to reduce arm pumping.Overall the bike is much more than satisfactory.I am happy to own this bike.

Long rides

4.2

Overall performance of the bike is really good, I really loved the mileage and personally i was able to get 60kmpl mileage at 70kph at 5000-6000 rpm.Comfort is not that bad either, Obviously if you are buying a sports bike you will have a sacrifice comfort here and there.Pillion seat is a little rough for long rides but for a short ride the pillion seat is definitely comfortable. My mom is 63 years old and wear's saree, And she had no difficulties in sitting at the pillion seat.
