2022 Mahindra Scorpio N: Here’s What You Get With Each Variant

The new Scorpio is offered in four broad trims: Z2, Z4, Z6, and Z8. You also get an optional luxury pack with the top-spec trim


Mahindra has just launched its big offering for 2022, the Scorpio-N, priced from Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Official bookings are slated to commence from July 30 onward and the car, billed as the ‘Daddy Of SUVs’ by the UV major, will be offered in four trims: Z2, Z4, Z6, and Z8. In addition, there is also an optional luxury pack with the top-spec trim. In this report, we’ll be focusing on what each variant comes with:



Z2, the entry-level trim, kicks things off with:

  • Dual barrel headlamps (halogen)

  • Turn indicators on ORVMs

  • LED taillights

  • 17-inch steel wheels 

  • 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system 

  • Steering mounted audio controls 

  • Power windows 

  • Dual airbags

  • ABS with EBD

  • Rear parking sensors 

  • ISOFIX child-seat mounts 



Up next is the Z4, which gets everything from the Z2 and in addition:

  • Ski-rack 

  • Rear spoiler 

  • 17-inch steel wheels with covers

  • Android Auto and Apple CarPlay (wired)

  • Cruise control

  • USB-C charging port for second row 

  • Adjustable fan speed for rear AC with a seperate cooling coil

  • Cooled glovebox 

  • Activated carbon AC filter

  • Electrically adjustable ORVMs

  • Height-adjustable driver seat with lumbar support

  • Rear wash and wiper with demister

  • Shift-on-fly four-wheel drive (Diesel only)

  • Electronic stability control (AT only)

  • Hill hold control (AT only)

  • Hill descent control (AT only)



Z6 sits bang in-between all the variants and gets crucial additions like:

  • 7-inch colour TFT multi-info display

  • Connected car tech with in-built Alexa

  • Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay

  • Single-pane sunroof 

  • Drive modes (diesel only)

  • Electronic stability control

  • Hill hold control 

  • Hill descent control



Z8 sits one step below the top-end variant and gets the following features:

  • 18-inch dual-tone alloys (AT only)

  • Dual barrel LED headlamps (projector for low)

  • C-shaped LED DRLs

  • Audi-like sequential turn indicators 

  • Chrome door handles 

  • Black/brown interior with leatherette upholstery

  • Push button start

  • Dual zone automatic climate control

  • Rear parking camera 

  • Power-folding ORVMs

  • Auto headlamps and wipers 

  • Off-road modes (4WD)

  • Brake locking front differential (4WD)

  • Mechanical locking rear differentials (4WD)

  • Six airbags 

  • Tyre pressure monitoring system



Z8L is the pole-sitter in the Scorpio’s variant lineup, and gets all the niceties including:

  • 17-inch (MT) / 18-inch (AT) dual-tone alloys

  • 12-speaker Sony 3D surround sound system

  • 6-way powered driver seat

  • Front parking sensors 

  • Wireless phone charger (Diesel 4WD AT)
