Tata Motors revs up Revotron 1.2T engine campaign

Tata Motors has launched a nation-wide campaign under which it will exhibit its new 1.2-litre Revotron engine. The company has kick-started this campaign by unveiling its Revotron lab in five major cities of the country - Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore Ludhiana and Hyderabad. Through this campaign Tata aims to create awareness about its new Revotron 1.2-litre MPFi turbocharged petrol engine among its customers. The inauguration of this campaign was attended by India’s Formula One driver, Narain Karthikeyan.

According to Ranjit Yadav, President and Head, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, the new Revotron 1.2T engine will power the company’s upcoming cars – the Tata Zest and Tata Bolt. He states that through platforms such as the labs, the multi-drive-mode-game, holograms and unique digital and on-ground activations the company plans to engage its customers with this new product in the most impactful way.

The Revotron lab contains three separate zones - the Binaural Sound Zone, the Revotron Challenge game, and the Interactive Touch Glass. In the Binaural Sound Zone, customers can experience the virtual sound of the new Revotron 1.2T engine. The Revotron Challenge game allows participants to compete with other players and experience the various driving modes of the engine by travelling in a Tata Zest. A player can compete with another player only in the lab, while in the mobile and web versions, a player can play only against the system.

The Interactive Touch Glass zone aims to educate customers on the benefits of this new engine. Another attraction at this event is the Augmented Reality application which allows visitors to click a picture with Narain Karthikeyan virtually.
