Porsche will be showcasing a new generation of its benchmark roadster, Boxster, for the first time at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The Boxster aside, the Panamera GTS and 911 Carrera Cabriolet will receive their European premieres.
The major attraction of the new Boxster is its all-new lightweight body, new flat-six engines with direct petrol injection, a completely revised chassis and evolutionary styling. This mid-engined sports car will also feature electro-mechanical power steering offering superior performance and up to 15 percent greater fuel efficiency.
Boxster's 2.7-litre engine puts out 269PS, which is just 10PS more than its larger capacity cousin, the Boxter S, which has a 3.4-litre engine. Both models feature a manual six-speed gearbox as standard and there's an optional seven-speed dual-clutch.
Built in Zuffenhausen, Stuttgart, the new Porsche Boxster will go on sale in the UK from May 5, 2012 and is priced at £37,589 (Rs 29.65 lakh) and at £45,384 (Rs. 35,80 lakh) for the Boxster S.

The wraps will also be lifted off the new Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet, which is significantly lighter overall than its predecessor and offers sporting drivers the option to enjoy the renowned dynamic qualities and iconic design of the 911 Coupe combined with the added versatility and driving pleasure offered by its folding convertible roof.
The new 911 models are on sale now and are priced from £79,947 (Rs. 62.98 lakh) for the Carrera Cabriolet and £89,740 (Rs. 70.70 lakh) for the Carrera S Cabriolet.

The last European premiere is that of the Panamera GTS which is powered by a 4.8-litre naturally-aspirated V8 engine delivering 30PS higher engine output and 20Nm greater torque (compared with the power units in the Panamera S/4S), resulting in the GTS producing 436 PS at 6,700 rpm and 520Nm at 3,500 rpm.
The four-seater GTS is characterised by the high-gloss black exterior package and is on sale now at a price of £90,409 (Rs. 71.25 lakh).
