2026 Honda City Facelift Launched In India; ZR-V SUV Unveiled

QUICK HIGHLIGHTS

• Exterior updates to the City include sharper styling, new fascia, reworked bumpers and an updated alloy wheel design. The ZR-V gets a subtle, yet understated exterior with slim LED headlamps, 18-inch alloy wheels and a hexagonal grille.

• Prices for the City start from Rs 12 lakh ranging to Rs 21 lakh for the strong-hybrid version, with the ZR-V likely to be priced at Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom)

2026 Honda City Facelift: Variants And Pricing 

Honda has launched the facelifted model of the City with prices starting at Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2026 City is offered in 4 variants, spread across manual and automatic transmission options. Here is the detailed price list:

The facelift has given both models an updated styling, new features, and a revised feature distribution across all variants. Let’s take a look at everything the new City has to offer:

2026 Honda City: Exterior 

The Honda City has always had a very elegant approach towards its exterior design, but with the facelift model, Honda has made subtle changes, and that design philosophy has shifted towards sleek and sporty.

Upfront, it gets a new fascia with a connected gloss black grille with a honeycomb pattern, incorporating the new LED projector headlights and a connected LED DRL. Also new is a front bumper with gloss black inserts, vertical cut-outs, and a honeycomb pattern for the air dam. This new slim and sporty appearance makes the design sharper and more appealing. 

From the side, the overall silhouette remains identical to the pre-facelift model with large windows and a long wheelbase that improve the overall stance and road presence of the car. What’s changed here is a new design for the 16-inch machine-cut alloy wheels, which look very sporty. 

Moving to the rear-end, the overall design might seem similar to the pre-facelift model, but the facelifted model continues the bolder approach with a sleek bootlid spoiler,  a reworked bumper with a faux diffuser and vertically placed reflectors at the edges.

The taillight cluster is the same as before, but it now sports a 'clear-lens effect,' which further adds to the appeal. 

The Honda City facelift is offered with a new Crystal Black Pearl colour. You can also have the City twins in existing colours such as Platinum White Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Meteoroid Grey Metallic, Radiant Red Metallic, and Obsidian Blue Pearl. 

2026 Honda City Facelift: Interior 

On the inside, the interior of the Honda City and the City Hybrid facelift does not see a lot of changes. What’s new here, although, is a larger free-standing infotainment screen. The overall dashboard design remains identical to the outgoing model. 

The cabin also looks similar to the pre-facelift model, with all the buttons and controls having retained their positions, for example, the semi-digital instrument cluster and rotary AC controls below the infotainment screen. It also carries forward the three-spoke steering wheel. 

2026 Honda City Facelift: Features And Safety 

The Honda City twins have always had a decent set of features on board, but with the facelift model in picture, Honda has now added new features to the City facelift and City Hybrid facelift’s package, like a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay (similar to the one in Honda Elevate) and front seats with ventilation. 

Apart from these new additions, both models continue to offer features such as a 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, an 8-speaker sound system, a single-pane sunroof, ambient lighting, single-zone automatic climate control, rear AC vents, auto headlights, rain-sensing wipers, cruise control, and a wireless charger.

In terms of safety, the City twins now come equipped with a 360-degree camera. Apart from this, both models continue to offer 6 airbags, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, traction control, ISOFIX child seat mounts, hill hold control, blind view monitor and a Level 2 ADAS suite.

2026 Honda City Facelift: Powertrain

Both the 2026 Honda City and City Hybrid facelifts remain mechanically unchanged. What this means is that the same engine and transmission options still power them. Here are the detailed specifications:

2026 Honda City Facelift: Rivals

The Honda City continues to take on other sedans like the Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia. The City Hybrid, on the other hand, currently has no direct rivals, but can be a strong alternative to strong-hybrid SUVs in a similar price bracket like the Maruti Victoris, Maruti Grand Vitara, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

Now let’s take a look at Honda’s new flagship SUV, the ZR-V:

2026 Honda ZR-V: Exterior

Being a global product, the design of the Honda ZR-V is not very different from the international spec models. Starting with the front, it sports a large gloss-black grille and slim LED headlights with DRLs, which get a smoked effect. The sculpted bonnet and chunky front bumper help improve the car’s stance to provide a clean and sporty first appearance with a muscular and striking presence.

At the side, the ZR-V features a well-proportioned silhouette, which, further paired with gloss black body cladding and a sharkfin antenna, gives a sophisticated look. The SUV rides on 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels that look appealing. 

Moving towards the rear, the ZR-V continues with its elegant styling, featuring a clean tailgate design and sporty LED taillights. The bumper is chunky here as well, which has a contrasting finish with gloss black cladding and dual exhaust tips to add a touch of sportiness.

The Honda ZR-V is offered in a total of 4 colour options: Crystal Black Pearl, Platinum White Pearl, Meteoroid Grey Metallic and Twilight Mist Black Pearl.

On the inside, the ZR-V carries forward the clean and sophisticated design theme seen on the exterior. The dashboard features a neat, upright layout with a honeycomb mesh insert seamlessly integrating the central and side AC vents.

Other highlights include a three-spoke steering wheel, all-black cabin theme, a fully digital driver's display, and a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system positioned atop the dashboard. Honda has also replaced the conventional gear lever with push-button controls on the centre console, giving the cabin a more premium and clutter-free appearance while also improving practicality by freeing up additional storage space.

2026 Honda ZR-V: Features And Safety 

The Honda ZR-V comes decently loaded with modern features for the Indian market. The list of features includes a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, powered front seats, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, powered front seats, heads-up display, powered tailgate and a wireless phone charger.

In terms of safety, the ZR-V comes equipped with 8 airbags, a Level 2 ADAS suite, 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, front and rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. It has also scored 4-stars in the Euro NCAP crash tests in 2023.
