The Jaguar XF is a brilliant car from the British car manufacturer, now owned by Tata Motors, as it has managed to bring together the element of a sports car with that of a luxury sedan in a coupe-like design that can best be described as visually exciting. There is no doubt that the car looks the part and has been doing decent numbers since its debut on Indian shores. To widen its appeal and cater to a larger audience, Jaguar has now introduced the diesel variant of the XF for the discerning Indian customer.
The new XF Diesel boasts of the state of the art 3.0 litre AJ-V6 Diesel S engine that churns out a healthy 275PS of power and a metal churning 600Nm of torque. Incidentally this is the same diesel engine that does duty under the hood of the diesel XJ as well. Considering the fact that the XF is smaller and lighter than the XJ, this car is a virtual diesel rocket. Mated to a six speed ZF automatic gearbox, the XF Diesel S is capable of hitting the three digit mark in just 6.4 seconds!

Jaguar has taken the liberty to really deck this car out and it now comes standard with a long list of features that cater to making it easier for you to drive and have a great time doing it. Technologies such as the JaguarDrive Selector, JaguarDrive Control and jaguar sequential shift and dynamic stability control with Trac DSC Mode, all aid the driving experience to give you a controlled yet fun trip. Moreover, the Jaguar, in the Premium Luxury version, also packs a long list of features from entertainment to safety.
Priced at Rs. 48.37 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi, the Jaguar XF Diesel S is set to take on the BMW 5 Series, Audi A6 and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. It's going to be a high end battle, and this is one showdown where you would like to opt for front row seats!
