Jaguar had showcased the F-Pace a few months ago at the Auto Expo 2016. The British carmaker that deals with high-end luxury saloons and sports cars has made its debut in the SUV segment with the new F-Pace. According to sources, the SUV will be out in the Indian market by the third week of October.
The F-Pace shares the same platform as the new XE. Performance wise, we think that the car will be great, the reason being -- it is mostly made up of aluminum. Along with performance, Jaguar has offered the F-Pace with a bold and beautiful exterior design. The car gets an aggressive looking nose along with sleek lines that runs throughout the car till the LED tail lamps. And just to make the SUV look sportier, the SUV has been fixed with massive 22-inches of alloy wheels. It will also get features such as Hill Hold Assist, All Surface Progress Control (ASPC), adaptive dynamics, cruise control, speed limiter, JaguarDrive control, gesture tailgate, split fold rear seats - 40/20/40, two-zone climate control, etc.

Mechanically, the F-Pace shares its engine with the XE. There are a few engine options that the SUV has been offered with and the range starts with a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder engine that makes 180PS of power and 430Nm of torque. Paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox, this engine drives the F-Pace from 0-100kmph in 8.7 seconds, with a claimed top speed of 208kmph. Jump up to the ‘R-Sport’ and you get the full-fat 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder diesel that makes 300PS of power and 700Nm of torque – enough to make the SUV complete the 0-100kmph sprint in 6.2 seconds, which, is quite an impressive time for an SUV!
The Jaguar F-Pace, when launched, will go up against the likes of the Range Rover Evoque, the BMW X6 and the Mercedes-Benz GLE coupe in the Indian market. The prices of the SUV are expected to start from the 75 lakh mark.
