Range Rover has launched the standard Sport SV in India at Rs 2.05 crore (ex-showroom). Positioned below the limited-run Sport SV Edition Two, this new version is Rs 30 lakh more affordable while still retaining the same massive V8 performance and advanced chassis technology. Land Rover says this version has been specially curated for India with exclusive paint shades, unique wheels and a tailored specification package. Customer bookings are now underway, while deliveries are expected to begin from August 2026.
Here’s everything you need to know about the new Range Rover Sport SV:
The Range Rover Sport SV takes the clean and muscular design of the standard SUV and turns things up several notches visually. Up front, it gets a more aggressive bumper with larger air intakes, blacked-out grille elements and a sharper front splitter. There are also gloss black inserts across the exterior, including the ORVMs, pillars and badging, which give the SUV a stealthy appearance.

From the side, the massive 22-inch forged alloy wheels immediately stand out. These wheels are exclusive to the India-spec model and are paired with a contrasting black roof that adds to the aggressive, sporty look.

At the rear, the quad exhaust setup and large roof spoiler make it very clear that this is not a regular Range Rover Sport. The SUV also gets prominent ‘SV’ badging and darkened exterior detailing throughout.

One of the biggest highlights, however, is the bespoke paint palette curated specifically for India. Buyers can choose from:
Green in Satin Finish
Orange in Matte Finish
Blue in Gloss Finish
Violet in Matte Finish
Teal in Gloss Finish
Compared to the Edition Two variant sold globally, this version skips some of the carbon-fibre elements and larger 23-inch wheels, but still looks properly dramatic and expensive.
Inside, the Range Rover Sport SV feels every bit as luxurious as you’d expect from a flagship Range Rover product, but with a sportier edge to it.
The cabin gets perforated Windsor leather seats finished in a Light Cloud and Ebony theme, which Land Rover says has been specially curated for India. There’s also an extended leather package that adds to the premium feel inside the cabin.

The seats themselves look sporty but still focus heavily on comfort, staying true to the Range Rover experience. A large sliding panoramic sunroof further enhances the sense of space inside the cabin.
The interior also gets illuminated ‘SV’ tread plates and subtle performance-focused detailing throughout.
The Range Rover Sport SV comes loaded with luxury and technology features. It gets Body and Soul Seats, which use audio vibrations to create a more immersive in-cabin experience, along with a 29-speaker Meridian Signature sound system, panoramic sunroof, 16-way powered, ventilated, heated and massaging front sports seats, wireless charger, soft close doors, 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control and a lot more.

On the safety front, the SUV comes equipped with multiple airbags, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system, Level 2 ADAS suite, 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, hill start assist, hill descent control, electronic parking brake and more.
The Range Rover Sport SV is powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine paired with mild-hybrid technology. Here are the detailed specifications:

One of the biggest highlights here is the advanced 6D Dynamics suspension system. It uses a hydraulically interconnected setup designed to virtually eliminate pitch and body roll, helping the SUV remain flatter and more controlled during hard acceleration, braking and cornering.
The Range Rover Sport SV rivals performance-focused luxury SUVs such as the Porsche Cayenne Coupe GTS, Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe, Audi RSQ8 and its own sibling, the Defender Octa, in India.
The new Range Rover Sport SV feels like a more balanced take on the high-performance luxury SUV formula. It still has the outrageous V8 performance and aggressive styling you’d expect from an SV product, but it doesn’t go overboard trying to constantly grab attention.
What makes it interesting is the blend of performance and comfort. The 635 PS V8 and advanced suspension tech promise serious capability, while the bespoke India-specific touches make it feel a little more special and personalised for buyers here. And now, with the revised pricing under the India-UK FTA, the Range Rover Sport SV feels more tempting than before for buyers looking for a luxury SUV that can genuinely do everything.
