The Honda Grazia will be the most premium scooter from Honda in India

Honda has announced that it will launch the new Grazia scooter on November 8, 2017, in India. The Honda Grazia is the latest addition in the scooter segment and will also be the most expensive scooter to be launched by the Japanese two-wheeler giant in India. The new scooter will be positioned as a sporty and premium alternative to the Honda Activa 125 and is expected to be priced between Rs 60,000 and Rs 65,000 in India. Earlier, we got a glimpse of the design language of the new scooter from a few spy shots that emerged prior to its launch.

The Grazia gets a sharp front apron which incorporates a wide headlamp that endows the new scooter with a lot of presence. The Honda Grazia could also be the first scooter in India to feature LED headlamps. Honda designers have also added lots of creases to give the scooter a sporty attitude to please urban buyers and youngsters, the target audience for the scooter. The new 125cc scooter from Honda get a semi-digital instrument console which sports a switch next to the keyhole to unlock the seat. It is likely that the Honda Grazia will get a plastic fibre body as opposed to the metal body panels seen on the Honda Activa 125. This should make it lighter than its elder 125cc sibling.

It will be powered by the same 125cc, single-cylinder engine from the Activa 125 that produces 8.5PS at 6500rpm and 10.54Nm of peak torque. The Honda Grazia will be equipped with telescopic front forks and a monoshock unit at the rear, and the scooter will ride on 12-inch alloy wheel up front and 10-inch wheel at the rear. Braking duties will be taken care of by drum brakes on both ends while a front disc brake will be an optional extra. CBS (Combi Braking System) will be standard on the new scooter. With TVS, Hero and Suzuki likely to launch the Graphite, Dare and Swish 125, respectively, the 125cc scooter segment is expected to heat up in the coming months.
