Hero MotoCorp has finally launched the Maestro Edge 125 in India. Customers can opt from three different variants - Fi, Carb (disc) and Carb (drum), priced at Rs 62,700, Rs 60,000 and Rs 58,500 (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi), respectively. Though the Maestro Edge 125 looks identical to its 110cc version in terms of design, there are a couple of extra features that help it stand out from the Maestro Edge 110. Here’s a closer look at India’s first fuel-injected 125cc scooter in detailed images.

  • It gets a sharp and angular design language with six new colours - Pearl Fadeless White, Panther Black, Matte Blue, Matte Brown, Matte Vernier Grey and Matte Red.
  • The apron now features an LED DRL with sporty graphics that match the new colour schemes. The Headlight uses a conventional halogen bulb.
  • The Maestro Edge 125 borrows its analogue-digital instrument console from its 110cc counterpart, albeit with a blacked out finish.
  • It gets a 4-into-one key fob which can remotely open the seat and the external fuel filler cap.
  • Much like the Hero Destini 125, the seat on the Maestro Edge 125 gets a two-tone texture.
  • It also features a retractable under seat hook for convenience.
  • Notably, the Maestro Edge i3S Carb gets a 5.5-litre fuel tank while the Fi variant can hold only five litres.
  • The external fuel filler cap placed above the tail light is neatly hidden away under a pop-up panel.
  • The underseat storage on the Maestro Edge 125 features a USB charging port for your smartphone and a boot light for better visibility at night.
  • Hero MotoCorp offers the Maestro Edge 125 in both fuel-injected and carbureted variants.
  • The fuel-injection variant makes 9.24PS while the carb version produces 8.83PS. That said, both of them deliver a similar torque output of 10.2Nm.
  • Hero’s patented i3S (Idle-Start-Stop-System) technology is only available on the carb variant.
  • Underpinnings like its telescopic fork, rear monoshock, diamond-cut 12-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheels have been carried over from the Maestro Edge 110.
  • Its braking setup comprises of a 190mm disc brake up front which comes as standard on the Fi variant and as an option on the drum variant. IBS (Integrated Braking System) comes right off the shelf on all variants.
