Honda All Set To Launch BS6-compliant Activa 125 This Month highlights

Honda is all set to launch the 2019 BS6-compliant Activa 125 on September 11. Unveiled in June, the 2019 Activa 125 is the Japanese brand’s first BS6-compliant two-wheeler. Recently, some of the technical specifications of the scooter also leaked online and you can read all the details here.

At present, the Activa 125 starts from Rs 60,627 while the top-end variant costs Rs 65,012 (both ex-showroom Delhi). Expect the 2019 Activa 125 to start from around Rs 65,000 (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will compete with the Suzuki Access 125 and Hero Maestro Edge 125.

The scooter is equipped with fuel injection to comply with the stricter emission norms. Honda has also given the engine a number of technological enhancements to improve the overall usability. In a related development, the Japanese brand has confirmed that all its two-wheelers that comply with BS6-emission norms will feature fuel injection. However, not all models will make the cut and a couple of two-wheelers may be discontinued. Apurva | 6 years ago First of all the upgradation comes with a steep hike in price. Still, I think, the sales will not be affected much as the Honda scooters have a big edge over their rivals in the market. Of course price matters and pinches too but goodwill supercedes.One thing that I personally look for is increased length, increased wheelbase and larger wheel size, almost resembling a bike. I wish 125 or a new 135 scooter can be introduced which will serve the purpose of a scooter and look like a bike. One can find such vehicles in Europe in plenty. ...Read More 0 Reply
