2016 Honda Activa i launched with new colours

The new colour options are available at the same value-added price of Rs 50,255 (ex-showroom Mumbai)

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd (HMSI) has introduced new colours for the Activa i scooter. The 2016 edition of the scooter is also the seventh new model by the manufacturer in 2016. The Activa i is an extension of the Activa by Honda and aims to further make it a successful product in the automatic scooter segment. The 2016 edition of the Honda Activa i will continue to be sold at Rs 50,255 (ex-showroom Mumbai).

Speaking of the 2016 Activa i, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd said, “In line with our strategy to surprise our customers by adding freshness to our products regularly, the 2016 Activa i is Honda’s seventh new model of 2016. With this, we are confident of driving rapid scooterization of two-wheeler industry."

The standard variant of the Honda Activa is available in Pearl Amazing White and Black colours that will be accompanied by the new colours, Pearl Trance Yellow and Candy Jazzy Blue. Similarly, for the Deluxe variant, the Activa i is available in the new exciting Imperial Red metallic colour with the existing Orchid Purple Metallic and Pearl Amazing White colours.

The scooter is powered by the tried and trusted 110cc air-cooled engine that is used in the standard Honda Activa. The engine comes with HET (Honda Eco Technology) which offer less friction between moving parts. The scooter registers 8.11PS of max power and 8.74Nm of peak torque that is transmitted to the rear wheel by a variomatic transmission.
