Honda has launched the new VFR 800F and CB1100 in the international market with added features and improvements on the mechanical front

Honda expanded its international line-up by adding the 2014 VFR 800F and 2014 CB1100 to its product portfolio. The 2014 VFR 800F and the new CB1100 has been introduced in both standard and deluxe variants with additional new features. The VFR 800F might deceive many as a sportbike but in reality the bike is a sportstourer. The 2014 VFR 800F is powered by a 782cc, liquid-cooled, V4 motor that is mated to a six-speed transmission. The boffins at Honda have worked on updating its cycle parts to improve its handling dynamics. The VFR 800F features triple-box-section twin-spar aluminum frame with single-side swingarm suspension at rear and chunky 43mm forks at front.

For a comfortable riding posture during long rides, the motorcycle has an upright riding position with adjustable seats that can alter seat height 787mm to 807mm. Major visual changes on the 2014 VFR 800F include new 10-spoke wheels and restyled single-muffler exhaust system. Braking is done by disc brakes at front and rear (radial-mounted at front) and the bike tips the scale at 239kg.The 2014 VFR 800F in the Deluxe variant gets equipped with ABS, traction control system, centrestand, self-canceling turn signals and heated grips. The 2014 VFR 800F will retail for Rs 7.5 lakh whereas the deluxe variant has been priced at Rs 8.1 lakh (both prices excluding taxes).

2014 Honda CB1100

The Honda CB1100 is a beautiful combination of retro styling of the yesteryears Honda CB series and modern technology. Owing to this fact, the CB1100 has been able to carve a niche for itself among bikers with its retro charm. As part of 2014 upgrade, Honda has added new features and introduced a new deluxe variant of the 2014 CB1100. Underneath the simple and classic looking fuel tank sits a modern powerplant. The 1140cc, DOHC, inline four-cylinder mill has been mated to a new six-speed transmission in place of the five-speed box to improve its cruising dynamics. The new Honda CB1100 also features a revised instrument cluster with gear position indicator, MPG (miles per gallon) readout and trip computer. The Deluxe variant of the CB1100 features ABS, a larger fuel tank with 2.6 litre extra capacity, sleeker seat and some revised styling of the side panels. The 2014 CB1100 has been priced at Rs 6.2 lakh and the deluxe variant at Rs 7.1 lakh (both prices excluding taxes).
