Skoda is all set to take the wraps off the 2024 Kodiaq premium three-row SUV on October 4. The latest generation of the Kodiaq brings cleaner powertrain options, a more opulent and upmarket interior, and evolutionary design. So if you’re looking forward to the new Kodiaq, here are 5 things we know so far:

The exterior design, revealed via sketches, is still very much Kodiaq, though it’s more evolutionary than brand new. Skoda’s butterfly grille has grown a wee bit larger and the headlights are now sleeker, making it look meaner. You get more smoother lines in the profile and the C-pillar is now blacked for the floating roof effect. And at the rear, you now get sharper LED taillights with the C-motif that are now connected as well.
As for wheel options, the large squared-out wheel arches can accommodate wheel sizes from 17 to 20 inches.

The interior of the premium SUV is brand new and more minimalistic, courtesy the large 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. But thankfully, physical controls for the climate control are present, which have a bunch of functions built into them, like the seat cooling, for example. The driver also gets his own party kit, thanks to the 10.25-inch digital driver’s display.
Skoda has made the central console all the more practical with more storage spaces, as it has now shifted the gear selector to the steering column.

In terms of features, the Skoda Kodiaq will get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with connected car tech, ambient lighting, a branded audio system, powered front seats, ventilated and heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger and USB-C fast chargers. Safety should be taken care of by multiple airbags, electronic stability control and a host of ADAS features.

Underneath the hood, the new Kodiaq will come with a plethora of engine options including a turbo-petrol, diesel as well as a mild- and strong-hybrid. It will be automatic only and can be had with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. To make life easier, we have compiled the detailed specifications:

We suspect the new Kodiaq will be brought to India sometime in the second half of 2024. And as for its price, you can expect it to command a premium over the outgoing model that starts from Rs 38.5 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to rival the Jeep Meridian, MG Gloster and Toyota Fortuner.
