A Detailed Look At The Yezdi Scrambler

Yezdi’s entry into the Indian market has kickstarted the smaller-capacity Scrambler. The Yezdi Scrambler has made its debut alongside the Roadster and the Adventure in Yezdi’s portfolio. Here’s a detailed look at it. 

Purposeful

Just a glance at the Yezdi Scrambler and its rugged design cues immediately interpret that it's meant to plough dirt. The round LED headlight, tuck-and-roll style seat, tall beak and the tyre hugger, all add to the off-road centric looks.

Powerful

Similar to its brethren, the Yezdi Roadster also derives its power from the Jawa Perak-sourced 334cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor although with a different state of tune and reworked innards. It develops 29.1Ps and 28.2Nm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

While LED illumination has almost become an unsaid norm, the Yezdi Roadster offers a decent pack of features too. You get an offset, fully digital LCD console that packs the speedometer, odometer, tripmeter, fuel level readout, gear position indicator and other off-the-mill readouts. 

Graciously enough, Yezdi has also thrown in the USB and Type C charging ports. 

Means Business

The Yezdi Roadster uses a double-cradle frame suspended on a gaitered telescopic fork with 150mm travel and twin gas-charged rear shocks with 130mm travel. It also gets a metal bash plate and the ground clearance is 200mm. 

For the braking hardware, you get a 340mm front and 230mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. Furthermore, there are three ABS modes: Road, Off-road & Rain. 

It rides on a 100/90 – 19 front and a 140/70 – 17 rear spoked wheel wrapped in dual-purpose MRF rubber. 

Accessories

For added protection and practicality, Yezdi also offers a bunch of accessories for the Scrambler. To name some, you get a headlight grill, knuckle guard, rear luggage rack and auxiliary lights as well. 

Colour schemes

Yezdi offers the Scrambler in as many as six colour options of which three are single tone and the remaining are dual-tone. 

Prices start from Rs 2,04,900 for the single tone colours and Rs 2,10,900 for the dual-tone ones (both ex-showroom Delhi).
