Hyundai recently launched the Venue Adventure Edition with cosmetic tweaks priced between Rs 10.15 lakh to Rs 13.38 lakh (ex-showroom). It is based on the higher-spec variants, namely S(O), SX and SX(O) and commands a small premium of up to Rs 26,000 over the standard version of the sub-4-metre SUV. If you are speculating on spending those extra bucks, we’ve got our hands on a display unit to explain everything that has changed and you need to know:
First things first, if you look at the SUV’s overall design, it remains the same. But with this edition, you get distinctive blacked-out elements that make it stand out in terms of looks. The front grille along with the ‘Hyundai’ logo as well as the skid plate is all black.

Moving to the sides, the black treatment extends to the roof rails, ORVMs and the alloy wheels/wheel covers, while you get red black callipers that look contrastive.

There is an ‘Adventure edition’ emblem fixed in the front-side fender as well.

The rear looks similar to the standard version as well with the connected tail lights, however, you do get a blacked-out skid plate instead of the contrasting silver finish found in the standard car.

Given that the unit we pictured is in the Abyss Black colour, the SUV looks nothing less of a killer, to say the least. That said, you can also have the Venue Adventure Edition in Atlas White, Titan Grey and a new Ranger Khaki shade. These three colour options can also be paired with a black roof for a dual-tone look.
The all-black treatment doesn’t stop on the outside as you also get to see an all-black cabin theme when you step inside the SUV. The roof, however, is done in a beige theme to offer a contrast within. In our opinion, it should have been finished in black to give it a proper sporty look.

In terms of features, the Adventure edition brings in a dual-camera dashcam in addition. Other than that you already get to see a 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a semi-digital driver’s display, ventilated front seats, a sunroof, cruise control, wireless phone charger, air purifier, and keyless entry with push-button start and connected car tech.

Passenger safety is taken care of by 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), a rear parking camera and level 1 ADAS.

The Adventure edition is offered with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1-litre petrol engine option. It misses out on the diesel unit in its powertrain that is available with the standard model. The N/A petrol engine is coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission and the turbo petrol engine gets paired with a 7-speed DCT.
