After introducing Benelli, Keeway and Moto Morini, Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI) is all set to bring Zontes to India. The Chinese bikemaker has boldly announced its desi portfolio will feature five 350cc motorcycles, each one catering to a different kind of enthusiast.

Its upcoming range consists of a naked (350R), sports tourer (350X), café racer (GK350), tourer (350T), and an ADV (350T). This wide spectrum should help Zontest compete in the sparsely populated 300-400cc segment especially thanks to its powertrain.

Powering all five motorcycles is a 348cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. The motor churns out an impressive 38PS and 32Nm. Sporting a fuel-injection system from Bosch, this would certainly be an interesting engine taking the fight to brands like KTM, BMW, TVS and Kawasaki.

These bikes are running some impressive hardware too. Featuring in the list are, a fat 43mm USD fork and monoshock, single discs at both ends with dual channel ABS, LED lighting all-around, TFT instrumentation with Bluetooth connectivity and keyless access as well. This should help Zontes attract new riders seeking cool features and premium hardware.

Slowly AARI has been flanking the Indian motorcycle market with brands and motorcycle options that slot into various segments. The Keeway K Light 250V and Benelli TRK 251 open the innings and as you go up, there’s something for everyone. We expect pricing for the Zontes range to vary between Rs 2.5 and 3.5 lakh (ex-showroom) with a festive season launch scheduled.
