At Mahindra, the action never stops and less than a month after the carmaker launched the Thar Roxx Star Edition, the carmaker has yet again launched a special edition called ‘Cineluxe Edition’ this time for its all-electric flagship, the XEV 9e. Based on the Pack Three variant of the standard car, this edition gets two exclusive colour options and a new interior, besides a lower price as well. Here is all you need to know about the EV:
The Mahindra XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition has been launched at a price of Rs 29.35 lakh (ex-showroom) in a single 79 kWh battery option, making it a whole Rs 1.15 lakh more affordable than the Pack Three variant that it is based on.
| Variant | Price (ex-showroom) |
| XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition | Rs 29.35 lakh |
Being largely a cosmetic update, this Cineluxe Edition is offered in exclusive Satin Black or Satin White colour options for a distinct look. At the front, you still get a blanked-off grille, vertically-stacked LED headlamps with a connected light bar merging into the DRLs. Lower down, there is gloss black cladding and a sleek skid plate.

From the side, the Cineluxe Edition adds a small badge above the rear fender to denote itself. Besides this, it retains the radical ‘coupe-SUV’ roofline, thick gloss-black cladding and flush door handles.

The rear-end remains unchanged with a high-set boot, connected LED taillamp cluster and thick cladding on the bumper, along with an illuminated logo.

The interior of the Cineluxe Edition comes finished in a dual-tone theme of Chestnut Brown and Nocturne Black, compared to the Black and White theme of the standard car.

This change apart, it remains identical to the standard car with a three-screen setup, two-spoke backlit steering wheel and a piano-black finish for the centre console. It also gets a massive illuminated panoramic glass roof to keep things airy.

Feature-wise, this edition retains everything from the top-end Pack Three variant, with highlights being 12.3-inch screens for the digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system and a passenger entertainment display, air purifier, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats with 6-way power adjustment for driver, wireless charger, panoramic glass roof, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, powered tailgate and wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay.

Its safety suite also includes Level 2 ADAS, 7 airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, 360-degree camera and front and rear parking sensors. It is also important to note that the XEV 9e has a 5-star crash test rating from Bharat NCAP.
While the standard XEV 9e is offered with 59kWh and 79kWh battery options, the Cineluxe Edition is available with the latter only. Here are the specifications of this powertrain:

79 kWh |

The Mahindra XEV 9e rivals other electric SUVs like the Tata Harrier EV, BYD Atto 3 and VinFast VF7.

Named the ‘Green Car Of The Year 2026’ by ICOTY, the XEV 9e truly offers a lot of value-for-money and has received tremendous response in the market. However, this new edition certainly makes the package a little bit more exciting, especially given the popularity of a ‘satin’ finish among buyers these days. A lower price also makes it more attractive with all the same features as the top-end trim and will improve its appeal even more.
